Its always awesome to see Jinjer perform. The musicianship and creativity is stellar. I am not joking when I say that your band saved my hope for modern bands. I had basically stropped listening to 95% of what was put out because it was so lacking. As a musician and listener I needed to get turned on to Jinjer. Im about 10 years too late but better later than never. I cant wait to see you live. KEEP AFTER IT ! I wish peace to your country A.S.A.P.

For a metal drummer, Vlad has such a light touch … and those ghost notes are sublime. Truly one of the best drummers out there in any genre. I really believe that the whole band could play and sing in any style that they wanted to and still be superb.

it's easy to miss the subtle brilliance of some of Vlad's work when it's sometimes hiding behind everything else that is going on -- these kinds of cams really give us a chance to better appreciate what he brings. deffo my favorite drummer in the last 20 years.

Vlad is my absolute favorite metal drummer. I like all the Chris Turners, Matt Greiners, Matt Halperns etc. etc., but Vlad’s play style is so sweet. I love all these muffled ghost notes, polyrhythms and subtle double bass parts. Wish to be able to play like him on the drums.

First listen to it. Just listen without watching the video. Vlad is a monster that knows how to play the pocket, orchestrate for the music, and add ornaments without over playing. Then watching him play, and realize he’s playing open handed with a setup that is uncommon but fits his needs perfectly. Dude is so talented!

Amazing drumming! And I love this style of video with the remixed audio to really highlight the drums, makes you hear and appreciate details that you'd otherwise miss because the different instruments blend together more.

As a jazz fusion drummer, i really appreciate his approach. He doesn't play the standard metal type fills and beats. I love metal drummers, and this is a prime example of how diverse it can be. Thanks for sharing. Much love and respect from Baltimore as always .

he also doesn't play super hard either! Metal drummers are usually slamming their drums super hard, but he plays them with a much more measured touch and it shows because his deftness on the kit creates a really interesting sound within the context of a hardcore metal band with a singer who can switch between clean vocals and screaming. LOTS of dynamics, which keep it interesting.

This is a unique and powerful drumming method. I like the double snare, ambidextrous playing and single-drum snare bounce-rolls (could even be rudiments?). The drum and cymbal sounds are very heavy for the metal and awesome to listen to. Vlad is a kick-ass drummer.
