I discovered this band 2 years ago, and immediatly they transformed in my favourite band, each member is top tier, Tatiana is a live stage monster, the goddess of metal

Im 58, and grew up with the classic rockers and metal bands, punk, grunge...I've always loved "heavy"..but never dreamed that I would love this proggy, heavy growly, screaming metal....(however you describe them). Tatiana is other wordly and she brings the band right up there with her. What great musicians!!! I am 1000% all IN for this band and hope to see them live when they come back to the US! ...even rockin' my "home back" t-shirt here in Boston!! Rock on people and peace to Ukraine!!

Best is subjective, but they are without a doubt my favorite. I especially love the second half of this song and it was probably my favorite track for a while after the album dropped.

Ahh, see, but the second half doesn't work nearly as well without the first half.

@@hemlock399 Very true. I wasn't trying to imply that I don't like or want the first half of the song
@notimportant36862 жыл бұрын
@@dtpfeiffer i'll say it... second half is better but the first part could have been ON PAR too if only they took out the blast beats and instead of growling for 2 minutes straight, she incorporated some singing parts... she has really improved in her choice making as a singer over the years but there are still these flaws where she grossly overuses the growl.... still fucking amazing though
@dtpfeiffer2 жыл бұрын
@@notimportant3686 I completely disagree about the growling vs singing and I really like the whole song as it is. The heaviness of the beginning sets up the second half and makes it even more satisfying.

I watched an interview that someone did with Eugene. He was talking about everything going on. He was driving from wherever, back to Kyiv,around 5a.m. on the morning Russia started their attack. He was saying that shells or missiles were hitting all around him. He just tried to haul ass out of their as fast as he could drive. One missile attack hit right near Roman's house. It was absolutely heartbreaking to hear about everything that they talked about. They were at Cophenhell if you want to try to find it. I know I didn't spell it right.

First time I saw them live, last week (29/06/2022), in Lisboa. One of the best gigs I ever witnessed in my 41 years of existence. And I got the luck and privilege to meet Vlad, Roman and their manager, Allen, and they were the coolest guys, and I also brought my Macro and Wallflower LPs and Vlad took them for Eugene and Tatyana could sign them... Just for reference, the day after this, Gojira came here also and it was amazing, of course, but I was still shook from the night before... Truly mind-blowing artists/musicians. André

I agree with you, that they are one of the best bands that I have heard. Definitely in my top 5 or 3 or…. I hesitate to say number 1. And as you said about them “mixing genres”, they sure do. I have been thinking that they may have created a new music genre. I grew up in the 60s and 70s. I listened to Black Sabbath when they were new. Bob Marley when he was performing on The Midnight Special. Metal will always have a huge part in my brain full of music. This band blows me away. I also agree with that Tatiana is the absolute Queen of Metal. Amazing front person. She controls and commands the audience. I love watching the two of you react. I found Jinjer here on YT quite awhile ago. I got to watch you two react to them for your first time. I got fired up watching you guys. Keep it up. You’re great. Sorry to drone on. I still need my Country and Western. You’re doing great. Very knowledgeable.

Wallflowers is so deep that any song on the album could be released. I think its just whether it makes business sense to create a video for a song more than anything. This was a perfect song to kick off their tours for the year, and was going to fulfill that role in early March before Vladdy-Poo threw a spanner in the works. I can't wait for the new album that I'm sure will be out soon. Eugene posed something on IG a while back playing something I didn't recognize on his bass with a caption like "I'm happy to disappoint you when we don't fall down" and Tatiana's latest in IG talks about grasping your anger and using it. Rage makes for great metal and I'm hyped.

This is one of the songs I like less on Wallflowers. Please react to "Pearls And Swine" and "Dead Hands Feel No Pain", way better songs that are being negleted by the band (at least for now). "Home Back" from Hellfest 2022 is also a sick performance from them, with all the war-anger after they were given the permission to leave Ukraine.

I think that "As I Boil Ice" is criminally under-appreciated. I hope they'll do a video for it eventually. I think they feel like they have bigger fish to fry right now.

I can understand if they're not making videos atm, but don't forget every song on Macro got a video, and they left Home Back, which might be the best track, until last.

@@hemlock399 I'm not bothered with the fact that the band replied to my comment in a video from them, promissing Pausing Death and "maybe for some old song too", but then the Pandemics and the war screwed everything. But I think that both songs are way better than Colossus and Call Me A Symbol, but they're off from the setlist, what cuts in a half the chances to hear them live and have videos for them IMHO
@Dark__Thoughts2 жыл бұрын
@@hemlock399 As I Boil Ice, Dead Hands Feel No Pain, Sleep of the Righteous and Pearls And Swine are my favorite non video tracks on the album for sure. I think they'll come around to it, life must go on of course and this is also part of their job and income. They make more money with concerts, but music videos & their reactions since Pisces are an immense advertisement tool for them as well.
