I really LOVE how Jane and Lisbon's relationship unfolds throughout the series. It is clear from the beginning that he is subconciously attracted to her. Here is one carefree, eccentric genius who can drive anyone up the wall that somehow always behaves like a naughty school boy trying to get the attention of his crush in her presence. Jane's child-like nature is even more obvious when she's around: stealing and eating her lunch; giving her an origami just to make her smile; complimenting her at unexpected moments; teasing her just to check her reactions. And Lisbon also subconciously reciprocates by being extra patient, accepting and forgiving for all his trickeries. The energy between them is just super cute. I am SO glad that they are not written to give out hot-and-heavy, I-wanna-strip-you sexual vibe but warm, playful and genuine friendship that develops into love. They are the characters that don't need to say " I love you" out loud very often ( and when they do, it is really meaningful) or show too explicit intimacy after confessing their feelings for each other but fans can ALWAYS notice that slow burn of love and devotion. Such characters, such charms, and such perfect performances. Jane and Lisbon will always be one legendary TV couple I eternally ship ❤

I’ve always loved how understated and natural Jane and Lisbon’s relationship was. You catch their compatibility, their attraction to one another, in the subtle details. It’s nuanced and dynamic-they’re completely comfortable around each other yet also energized; they’re playful, bantering like it’s second nature, yet they can also be serious and intense when the occasion calls for it, and there’s familiarity that can only be borne of trust between them. Such a delicate balance, they strike. I love it so much!

They were devoted to each other without even knowing that they were, he would do anything for her and she would willingly risk everything for him. Their story was absolutely beautiful and a joy to watch.

Lisbon’s thing is obviously guys who casually wear the hell out of three-piece suits. Jane was already too close with jumping to clothes with his turtleneck guess. She had to get out of there.

They both are literally so cute! I haven't even completed season 1 yet, but I so hooked and soo rooting for them..even though I know they are gonna end up together..the anticipation of seeing it happen is ✨...The fact that there is some kind of spark between them, is visible from literally episode 1.. And I just find Patrick Jane's gaze sooo powerful...like everytime he looks at lisbon, you can feel soo much..its like his eyes say a lot..and in reciprocation, Lisbon too has a beautiful smile, which usually crosses her when they are together..Ik there is a lot to watch yet ..but I am really so excited for them. His expressions and confidence is just mind blowing! ❤

Not all romances are big, over the top gestures that require a choir backing you up. It's the little things, small gestures of teasing, compliments and smiling that express more love than words can ever convey. True romance is being in each other's company and making adventures out of the mundane things of life

Ah, the nostalgia hit me after watching this great video! The Mentalist was, and is, one of the greatest, most brilliant detective/crime/cop shows ever in the history of TV! Jane&Lisbon is one of the best partnerships ever created on TV! And Patrick Jane is one of the greatest fictional detectives ever created, right next to Sherlock Holmes - that's how brilliant he is, and that's how great Simon Baker was, playing him! I started to watch it when it first aired all those years ago by pure chance, and I was gone - it sucked me in - after the first minutes of the pilot episode! I'll admit: one thing that was disappointing for me tho, was the conclusion to the Red John mystery. In my opinion, the guy they chose for Red John had the least charisma and smartness about him, and I understood Bruno Heller's explanations for it all, however, he still botched it because the way they wrote Red John for six seasons was completely opposite to the person he ended up being. From the pilot episode, Red John was presented as this mystical, brilliant, terrifying mastermind, exactly like Moriarty is in Sherlock Holmes, so the revelation that he had the whole corrupt system and cop structure behind him and that he was just this simple, random guy we already met at the start of the series, was really lame and didn't fit with the entire story. But I was able to get over it all because I love The Mentalist too much to be angry at the creator and the story too long, and it was still an amazing story! 😃

I thought they worked so much more as a non-couple than as an actual couple. I loved wondering if they were ever gonna get together way more than getting the answer to that question. it's not as bad as some of the forced couples in friends, but their chemistry was cuter before. I liked the tension more than the release.
