This is so metaphorical. Premium Korean beef (expensive) = Rich family Neoguri (full of soup WATER)= Semi-basement family (flooded) Chapagetti (AKA black noodle, Dark color, no water )= Basement family ( no sunshine)

I am surprised that a street vendor would use commercial/grocery store ramen, especially the "flavor packets". The common criticism of commercial ramen is the amount of sodium (salt). There is lot of sodium in a typical ramen flavor packet. Are vendors that use their own or commercial noodles but add their own flavoring ingredients not popular? I enjoy the series.

In Korea using commercially available seasonings is not frowned upon. It tastes good especially for the cheap price. It’s kind of like how American hotdog street venders use commercially available hotdogs and use commercially available mustard and ketchup. The ingredients are nothing special but for the cheap price, it’s publicly accepted.

@@leleprtk I used the noodles from one pack, half of each packets from both, then saved the rest in the other pack. It works alright, but I have to eat the 2nd half quick before the powders go bad :)

I just find it tastes like jajangmien mostly. Neoguri is not that spicy or has extreme taste. I usually eat Jin ramen though, spicy version not mild.

It doesn't have to have a meat. The meat is just addition in the movie from the Nogshim company's recipe of Jjapaguri in their website. You can add whatever protein you'd like

WhiteShadow0708 I do get it but it referenced the movie. I did make it but not with expensive beef. It was a small sirloin cut. It’s a hearty spicy smoky noodle delight, I wouldn’t eat it on.a regular basis but it was tasty.

This is Jjapagguri/Ramdon mixture of Jjapagetti-Neoguri/Ramyeon-Udon. The recipe was in the Nongshim company (company that made both noodles) website and it doesn't have the steak. The steak is just an addition from the movie so you can basically put any proteins you like. Edit: Jjapaguri has been shown in few korean variety shows before it blew up in Parasite. Appa Eodiga (Dad where are you) and GD talked about it in Thank You

@@mcbiohazard892 the noodle serving in the video with two eggs is about $5usd. Two packs of ramen and two eggs. A bacon sausage toast (two eggs, sausage, bread, cheese) is about $2.6usd (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h8qYlc-Jp5ybpHk.html). I'm just saying the noodles seemed expensive considering the lack of meat and prob because its currently trendy due to Parasite.
