Could you do a video for each type of options purchase? Buy a call...buy a put, etc. It was a bit confusing watching this video, as there is so much information. I am surprised Fidelity doesn't have a video library where we could get this information. It would be nice to have a step-by-step walk through.

I have a decent understanding on options. But going from Webull to Fidelity for option trading has me confused a bit. When selling a regular call or put, is either sell button going to obligate me to buy 100 shares at the strike price? Or when you sell a normal call or put do you just sell the option?

Can you tell me what the buy to close is for? You are obligated to buy the shares when selling calls and puts because you received a premium.

Every time I try to purchase a call option it says “The buy call option order you entered requires a higher level option agreement.” What’s up with that ?

I'm not a fan of Fidelity for option trading. Too restrictive and the naming convention is odd. Tastyworks, TD Ameritrade, Charles Schwab, and E-Trade are better platforms for option trading.

The only reason I still have a RH account is for options trading only.

it always Means no matter Call or Put: OPEN =Enters contract CLOSE =Exits contract … For CALLs and PUTs without owning you can: Buy to Open (enters a contract and you buy LOW) Sell to Close (exits that same contract at HIGH for profit) CALLs owning Shares, PUTs wanting Shares: Sell to Open (enters contract to sell 100 shares at HIGH) Buy to Close (exits the contract and buyback those shares at LOW and profit the difference) *It would be the same concept steps for PUTs So long as you remember the top portion, you can’t go wrong, hopefully just pay attention and don’t rush an order without really reviewing it or you’ll regret it! NFA 😂
