Jayson Tatum (The Boston Celtics) joins us for his second interview w/ The Old Man and The Three and we have ourselves a good one, folks. Topics include: tough lessons from Coach Mike Krzyzewski (Coach K) and his time at Duke, the people who want to break up he and Jaylen Brown, addressing the comments made by Marcus Smart, falling short of people's expectations after succeeding in his early NBA career, the problem with the All-NBA voting system that impacts his contract, the hardest series of his life (against the Toronto Raptors), why The 2018 Celtics team w/ Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward didn't work, the moment talking to LeBron validated his career and so much more.
Subscribe to The Old Man & The Three podcast w/ JJ Redick (ESPN / First Take) and Tommy Alter on Apple, Spotify and KZfaq.

Kobe did take some bad shots that just went it. Taking a shot over three defenders is not a good shot, but there were times Kobe felt like his teammates were scared to shoot, and Kobe was like I am going to shoot it because everybody else was scared. Great interview. Its like the 2 or 3 complete interview from this podcast i have seen, and i enjoyed it. You focus on basketball, and also what a pro basketball athlete going throught behind the curtain. I usually don't watch much of the NBA media because most of them don't enjoy basketball as a sport, but you could feel your love for the game in every interview. That's what the NBA need, not loving or hating players for no reason. They way you talk to the players shows how the players really threat each other like brothers when they are off the court.

He's going to be a Hall of Famer - If Celtics keep both him and Brown they could potentially have two on the same team and Im a Toronto Raptors fan

@@3fouls1stqtrballisfreedom84 They should get rid of Smart and Dennis. They should never ever ever get rid of Brown or Tatum. They will win a ring if they put the right players around them two guys. FACTS!!

@@todhysteria lol oh damn, I didn't know that. Well I guess all we are waiting on is for them to get rid of Smart. I'm in Houston, born and raised and didn't hear about that one. I like Dennis but he didn't fit with Boston.

Please get JB on the pod. I have zero indifference toward the Celtics, could care less about the franchise, but Jay T and Jay B are two of my favorites. Not a lot of young players are as good, smooth, chill and humble all at the same time. Jaylen would be a great interview.
