Just an idea for next shoe shopping. Can u cut the elastic laces and replace them with regular shoes. So proud of Leon.

He is getting so good at walking.

They do have shoes that work with AFO's. His insurance probably would pay for them if doctor orders them. My grandson has a lift shoe that are made for AFO's from when he broke his leg last summer. Leon is doing so much better walking

AFO's have definitely come a long way!! When my nephew had them many years ago, they didn't have cushion or moving parts. They were seriously more like a removable cast. Love u guys!!!! ❤

He looked so happy in his new Afos on his legs & new red shoes are so cool for boys! Love the baby sharks Leon chose. My niece who is 14 has had new AFO’s since she was in preschool & still likes them for support in helping her walk straight & a longer period of time. She is in a size 4 shoe only, but she is small for a teenager. But she has a mild physical disability & loves to be outside in the snow or when it’s warmer or any season of the year!

Hi Jody and John my name is Carrie I also have CP and I also wear leg braces when I buy my shoes I take the insole out of the shoes make the shoe much easier to get on and also I" don't put the lace in the top that makes it a little easier to stretch the shoe and put it on I hope this information helps you and that it works for Leon and I hope you guys have a very merry Christmas

Just a thought, take out the stretchy lashes and add your own. But I am glad you found him shoes. Maybe for the next time! Go Leon!!!

BILLY they are so easy to fit on AFOS

Also I kept all of my daughters old AFOs and one of these days I'm gonna line them up from smallest to biggest and take some pictures. I thought that would make a really cool picture to see them all lined up how she has grown over the years! And I call that insert a Pringle chip too 😂
