I think the reason people gravitate to this video--the reason it went viral in the first place, before "The Office"--is because it's so clearly a genuine expression of friendship and joy. So many weddings are these huge, overblown extravaganzas that cost a jillion dollars and stress everyone out. This wedding had simple flowers, simple clothes, an undecorated church...and a couple who are clearly overjoyed to be getting married, friends who are obviously happy for them, and a sense of pure fun.

I swear I've watched this so many times and every single time it makes me cry. The joy of the couple about to get married, the beauty of all their friends being willing to do this for them, the thought of them all getting together on Saturday to choreograph and practice this dance. It's just so human and beautiful, it really gets to me. I sure hope they're still married.

Again, another year and another mandatory viewing. It never fails, this video will always make me tear up with joy and happiness. The crowd not knowing what's about to happen, the beginning, the unique rhythm everyone has, the unique dances everyone has, the sheer happiness of the moment is encapsulated in this video. And after everyone "slow-moes", when the camera pans to the bride, I will ALWAYS tear up and cheer internally. She is so happy and in the moment. This is forever...11 out of 10!

Just updated myself about the couple through their website. Jill is a psychologist using her PhD to study gun violence and has co-founded an organization helping survivors and legislation called Violence Project. Kevin, an immigration lawyer, runs his own law firm to assist immigrant families take asylum in the US. They have 3 kids, 2 boys and a little girl. So, not only is this family hilarious and lovable, if a little corny, they're also amazing scholars giving back to the community and fighting for the ones without a voice.
