There are many better and faster ways to create a small metal bar with 2 holes in it, but i like your mod! I am gonna do that to my cheetah aswell! great idea! subbed.

Awesome mod. My screws have bent so badly I'll need to replace them now. What's the name of the tool to hold the bolt in place while you back off the screw (16:21 of the video), and where did you buy it? I'll need to get one now... Thanks for the great video!

You should put a dual wheelie bar on the back like the newer cheetah

My shock mount (the gold piece) always bends if I land hard on the back. Do you know of a way to reinforce it?

unfortunatly there is no fixing that. you would either need to just buy a replacement (they are very cheap) or see if there is a machined upgrade. the one that comes on the truck is a cheap forged part.

What's a good heatsink fan to put on the cheetah is the one you have work well and do you recommend me using one ?

Derek Quinones I got the same one he has and works well. Keeps the engine cool. Worth it is you have multiple batteries and plan on running them back to back.

Im excited to see your redcat rockslide. I was planning on getting one of those too. Have you bent any drive shafts on the cheetah? I had a bashing session the other day and bent a lot of them. The cheetah can take a very bad beating. Hit soo hard the electric motor fan flew off.

yes, one of them is bent. i have not gotten the chance to bend it back.

yea they look cool. actually they look similar to the duratrax tires i took off, just probably much smaller.

Do you know what weight of shock oil the Cheetah comes with? I'm gonna do some shock maintenance and replace my oil with 30 or 40 weight. These springs are really hard and I might try moving the shock caps inward to the middle hole, this should soften the ride a bit. Great tip for for strengthening the shocks👍

i felt like the shocks were over sprung and under dampened. in other words, it was bouncy. not something you want. putting in thinner fluid will make them even bouncier. i replaced it with 70wt oil and it barley made a difference. a softer spring would be the answer but that is not an option from jlb. best of luck.

rc mustsee Your right it’s crazy oversprung and I had very little shock oil inside. I’m gonna try some heavier oil, I have 80weight to try and I’ll report back.

rc mustsee thanks but the receiver has no more slot available, see: www.dropbox.com/s/odg02g7wserz872/Photo%202-8-18%2C%2011%2039%2035.jpg?dl=0 It’s the original receiver. The only 2 pins available are not black/red cables. Any suggestions?

ahh ok. I switched to a spektrum receiver with 3 slots. you can get a cheap RX&TX and solve that problem.

i was wondering the same thing when i went on the redact website. i went back to the website i ordered the truck from and made sure i actually bought the RTR truck... apparently i did. i am a bit worried. Maybe the Redcat website is the "asking" price, not the actual msrp.

rc mustsee Regardless they are a very great deal. I was looking at them from towerhobbies. I am interested in getting one aswell. The redcats look great bang for you buck type of rc like the cheetah is. Lol

yes, they seem to be a well established bargain brand RC. Im looking forward to putting it through its paces. i figure that it should last considering I'm not going to be jumping it or crashing it at 30mph but... we shall see. already have a few crawling spots in mind to test. btw, the twin hammers has already arrived!!

rc mustsee Wow that was fast!!!!! Me and a few friends are trying to figure out our first crawler and are keeping posted to see how well they perform to make our choices. I personally like your ascender, its a great rig. Keep up the good work.
