In this episode I visit Chef Jennifer Zavala aka @FoxyLadyChef at the Underground Arts located near 12th and Callowhill in Philadelphia. Chef Jennifer took her 26 years of cooking experience and made her name and food known in these Philly streets. Today was her weekly pop-up and I knew it was going to be special by the line that was forming outside prior to opening. Chef Jennifer Zavala specializes in Mexican cuisine. On the menu was birria tacos, tamale chicken waffles and birria ramen. I've yet to try birria ramen and today would be the day I get my taste buds initiated in this mexican ramen dish. I paired up the birria ramen with the quesabirria tacos...My oh my what an experience. The birria tacos were crunchy, cheesy and the ramen was comforting, cheesy and filled with noodles.
