I got introduced to this place by a Filipino jawn after walking by there for years lol. Good filling food. It was $5 back then and $7.50 is still a good price for the food you get. Folks are there to get their food and mind their business lol. Nice, quiet, clean restaurant. JL gave a truthful and honest review, as always.

Great mid-meal is to get you through the week is the TRUTH. You don't feel like cooking or instead of frozen or microwavable dinner prefer a cooked meal that satisfies more and fulls you. Mid-meals are to be respected.

When I lived in Oakland, I was hella on the struggle too many times to count, and this local Chinese spot on Telegraph Ave would sell small boxes of items for literally $1.50 each. Between that, the Korean family who opened up this super cheap but delicious pizza spot, and copping free bags of breadsticks after Lanesplitters closed for the night, I happily survived some tough times and it's dope to see spots like this still open and ideally doing well for helping out the community.

Used to eat here back when I was in high school. My girlfriend at the time introduced me to this spot when it was around 4-5 dollars. Definitely can’t expect much but worth it for the price

The biggest bang for your buck is definitely chinese food. You get so much food for dirt cheap, and it usually lasts you several meals.

We had a spot like this growing up in Michigan called ingcredible got me through a lot of hard times unfortunately the couple is getting older and closing down a lot of there spots if not all but I’m in a better place now. Wish I could give the owners thanks.

Not for tourists. Me a traveller from the 3rd world who likes to eat as cheaply as I can when abroad (seriously the dollar is 1:5 to my currency, even 7.50 is a quite a bit of cash for me). For comparison, the cheapest meal I can get in my hometown (one plate of rice, 1 side, salad and 1 portion of meat) costs US$ 2.35. And the most expensive dinner (all-you-can-eat barbecue with rare cuts, salad bar, cheese/cold cuts table and all-you-can-eat sushi) goes for about US$ 24, 17 with seasonal discounts.

That one order will comfortably feed four mouths for dinner. My go to Chinese spot loads the box to where then can't shut the lid. Me, my wife, my 2 kids, everyone eats for $3 a head. That's a proper bang for the buck.

Dude, I love places like that in Chinatown or anywhere in America. The Scoopy the style of Chinese Food gets the job done prices are always reasonable and the food is always fresh because of its turnover rate. Boy quick delicious meal on the mid week. I think you hit it on the spot places like this keeps us workers going through lunch and dinner specially, coming from a long day would work.
