How to install Skull Krusher inner fenders for the Jeep JL/ JT

4 жыл бұрынEnjoy this video as I show you how to install a set of front inner fenders for your Jeep JL/ JT by Skull Krusher.
Reasons you should consider upgrading your stock inner fenders? These are made in the USA, aluminum, and look great! Provide more clearance and protects the engine bay!
However just remember not all inner fenders are created the same and some mount differently. Thou this one requires a little more work, you will appreciate the time you spent when it comes time you need to remove them for some Jeep repair, install and maintenance.

Inner fenders are a must if you take your Jeep off pavement. What is also needed (and impossible to find) is a part to fill the inner gap between the front side panels and inner body panels. We spend lots of hours washing mud and rocks out from this area after wheeling.

Easy removal for inners is a MUST in my opinion... trail repairs... installs... trouble shooting... makes it life much easier... And I like the fact nobody has the same set 😂😂😂😂

Had to go back to this video since the ones I’ve had don’t work like I was hoping and had to cut quite a bit off to make them work with the Metalcloak sway bar links. Did you get the rears? Any word if skullkrusher is thinking about fender flares? If not what are y’all thinking about? I bought the Astro nutsert tool awhile back and since then really like nutserts as a fastener. Really considering getting these to replace what I have as long as they tuck up tight to the Jeep. The ones I have just stuck out enough that the sway bar link connected with both sides and at least for the passenger side sheared off the one bend. Awesome install video!

@@JLLIFEOFFROAD how's those new ball joints working out. I just ordered some. Not looking forward to that install. I just installed zr6 extreme power stop break pads and rotor kit front and back. It felt safer going down steep graded hills with a full load on. Still waiting to receive our oculus bill led front light replacement. 😕 it never ends 😂

It don’t... Iv been tryna do some j10 content... but just never seems the jeeps are ready... But the ball joints.. easy to do brother... u should have no issues! And they been holding great.. misty still has not had any deathwobble since we replaced em!

I know some people will disagree with the advertisement... but I ain’t getting no reduced cost paying for ur heavy labeled product... I support good companies by word of mouth... this is actually why I think dv8 is considered “good” people see their stuff on other Jeeps so quickly... sticks in the head...

I've got the front and rear inner fender liners from Skullkrushers. Did you get the rear ones as well? If so, do you have a video for installing the rears as well? Great tip for installing the nutserts, thanks.

Been looking around for possibly new inners after my sway bar link bolt has been contacting the inner fender flare I installed. They’re pretty tight, or I thought they were but now looking at nemesis since they’re pretty tight and have a area already for shocks that come with reservoirs. Have y’all been rubbing much with the ones y’all are running? Awesome informational and install video!

JL LIFE OFFROAD they are as short as they go but that’s what my lift installer told me. They were part of the 2.5” metalcloak true dual rate lift. Might have to double check to see if it’s true because it’s not the first time someone told me I should do that.

Iv heard the owner of synergy talk about his links don’t run inners on fb before... granted I cannot guarantee this... maybe u should look at those? Or u can just chop away at ur inner? Lol

JL LIFE OFFROAD the links are from Metalcloak. Already chopped the inners(need to post the pics on IG). It’s not pretty, but will work till I decide that the side of the engine compartment needs protection. I was thinking maybe if the Metalcloak links don’t go any shorter to go with JKS or some other company that makes detachable sway bar links.

Love your channel! Greetings from Sweden/Europe :-) Really dont get it.. its a huge gap for mud and stuff to get in at the rear, towards the door.. Why dosnt any innerfenders cover up tighter against the outer sheetmetal?

I know why I mean... it was not to big of a concern for me...mud getting flung tht way won’t really bother me... all the parts I want to protect ... fan... alternator... spark plugs... all have it’s protection.. plus... I don’t like mudding anyways 😂😂😂 GETS EVERYWHERE!

JL LIFE OFFROAD it’s just I feel I have way too much bump stop .. I took it to fourwheel parts awhile back for a 4” lift and they just slapped the bump stops (Currie enterprise lift kit and bump stops) which I’m sure are meant for jeeps with stock fenders etc

These haven’t been an issue… tire rubs into them when flexed upward… as u can see the scuff marks. But Thts will be with any inner… and if u offroad with your sway links connected… it will scratch it… but Iv yet to see an aftermarket inner tht don’t… plus u should be disconnecting your swayvlinks anyway.

I just got my fronts, tears should be in next week (stock supply was low) but they had a sale 50% all inners! So basically buy fronts and get rears free in my case!

I got a question I have a 18 jl looking for a lift u have 2 jeeps 2 different lifts which one is better I’m looking at metalcloak or rock krawler

Both are great... rk has heavier duty parts... and required routine maintenance...I hate dropping control arms to grease without a vehicle lift... they never want to line back up Mc is maintenance free... so I will only need to drop arms to replace the bushing... Long as u keep rk properly maintained... feels great... Mc always feels great driving.. honestly Mc seems flexier offroad... Customer service from Mc... is top tier... they always take care of me when Iv had problems with any of their stuff.. RK support.... meh.... Bottom line.. u will be happy with both.... so honestly really depends on how much maintenance you want to add to ur jeep ...

These Look great, if you ever receive them. When I inquired about my order that I was told would ship a week ago, this was the response from the owner. Avoid this company at all costs. "Actually man my whole staff is working while I am gone and quit being a fucking dick man I’ll refund you I don’t need your attitude man wow! Tomorrow am when my warehouse is in I’ll get you a status and if they haven’t shipped we’ll refund you."

Sent me a harrasing text message and tried calling me after 10pm. Promised me a refund. A week later they still haven't refunded my money. Complete and total sham artists.

Love your channel! Hey just want to share that I had a really bad experience with Ben the owner, similar to Benjamin Huseman’s experience. Insanely long shipping time and after 2 or three times of Ben telling me he was shipping them out the next day or week they never showed up. When I called to cancel the order Ben told me to “fuck myself” and called me a “cunt face”. He also sent a picture of my private info as a threat to me. I don’t understand how he feels ok acting like that as a business owner. Sooner or later the chickens will come home to roost with businesses like that. Beware.
