security checks absolutely yes. but I think there are rules designed to collect money with extra taxes, or force you to buy the necessary in the place where you arrive

Thanks JM for another informative blog. Based on experince on frequent international travels, I am able to bring my own "baon" on my flights. Typically when I go to US or Canada, I bring rice with "ulam" as I am not a fan of airplane food, and no one has ever questioned it. Of course, we need to be considerate of our co-passengers so we should not bring smelly food. I have brought adobo, menudo and grilled pork with rice on various flights and it was ok. I placed it in lock&lock and I still get airline meals but only eat the dessert from it. Hope this helps. :)

Siguro regarding sa food pwede kung 1liter and below yung container para pasok pa rin sa hand carry. In my experience kasi tinapay/pandesal lang dala ko na nakalagay sa plastic (yung pang 1kg na bigas, yung transparent) then kinain ko sa loob ng airplane.

Can I bring a big umbrella as long as it's foldable? What about rechargeable hand-held or mini fans, are they allowed for hand carry? For the total size of liquid containers, is that a total of 1k for both handcarry and checkin baggage? Or is that just for handcarry?

Skl rin po in case someone asks about fins. When we went freediving to Bohol, yung friend ko ang dala nya long fins, need i check in and i cling wrap. Yung sakin training fins, yung maikli lang, no need to check in. Handcarry lang, nagkasya naman sa maleta.

Yung experience ko sa PAL. Yung food ko na hand carry is yung cloud 9 na medium size (yung 6 pesos SRP) na 1, nuts na small packs lang tas biscuits like sky flakes na 2 tas yung iba is candy's and bubble gum, need ko kase gina dagat ako..the rest ng food ko is naka check in sya.😊 Hope naka tulong ako...heheh

Good day po kuya Jm! May tanong lang po ako... Nagpabook po mader ko sa Cebu Pacific (Manila-Cebu). Go basic lang po tapos nagpa-Add po sya ng 20kls for check-in baggage. Ask ko lang po sana kung isasama na po in total sa 20kls yung 7kls? O hiwalay pa po ba. Bale magiging 27kls po?! Salamat po. God bless.

Yes, hiwalay po yun. Yung 29kls para yun sa check in luggage mo. Yung 7kg sa handcarry allowance po yun

liquid container should not exceed 100mL "each".. and up to 1000mL Net per person(meaning you can bring 10 containers that holds 100mL(10x100) ... wag lang mag exceed ng 1000mL - handcarry :)

sa experience namin sa T-3 hand cary hinde ko na checkin nadala ko sa hand cary skinol malaki kasi pati ph care malaki din kinuha nila deretso sa garbage trash can nila pero alam ko kanila na yon haissst lesson learn nalang sa mga travellers good luck to us always keep safe and god bless!

ako kasi mga beauty products whether lotion shampoo conditioner cologone etttttccc lagay lahat sa check in pra sure. ang nilalagay ko lang sa carry on aka handy carry ay docs gadgets eg cphones tablet keys tissues food na di masyadong marami at empty h2o bottle na pwede kong gamitin kng may available na tubig sa gate pra tipid at di na bibili sa loob.

Extension chord ko ilan beses naka lusot sa hand carry, kasi tinabi ko sa mga charger and headset, para pag scan pagkamalan charger din. Kaya ako nagdadala ng extesion chord, some hotels is limited lang yung saksakan sa room
