Wasnt a completely bad guess. Mauer played 15 years and had 6 all star appearances that were clustered together around his peak. Really the slip up is that the wording specifically says "caught" and he didnt catch in his last 5 seasons save for a brief sendoff C appearance in his final season.

Ryan Zimmerman has under 2000 career hits, under 300 career HR, and only 40.1 career WAR. Very solid career, but absolutely no Hall of Fame case. Classic Hall of Very Good guy.

If Lance Berkman didn’t last one year on the ballot than Zimmerman probably shouldn’t either. Although he might get a few votes because of him being Mr. National and voters just being a bit sympathetic towards him.

Although it’s not clear how it’s written. I initially read it as he played with another player who won an MVP in the 2010s but I guess you can read it he played in the 2010s with another player who won an MVP.

My suggestion for the next time this is played, instead of having a full blurred image of the player, release part of the blurred image with every additional clue provided. This way the game is actually about knowledge and not guessing based on a picture 1st clue: no image 2nd clue: top portion 3rd clue: half the image. Etc Etc

As a Dodgers fan it’s weird seeing how little Beltre’s career with LA is remembered. He hit 48 home runs in 2004 and Jolly thought he may have debuted in 2005.
