2010 and 2011 breaks my heart. Almost as much as the fact I could only go back to 1942 because I got the Yankees and Cardinals mixed up for those two war years. (Also stupidly said Orioles for 1965) Anyways, it would be interesting to see something a little different from the annual winners like having to name the 300 game winners or 3,000 hit batters in reverse chronological order by when they reached the milestone. Or the perfect games. EDIT: Shoutout to Dan Canobbio getting further here than he did in the World Series winners video.

I believe, over the span from 1923-2022, the Yankees won 39 pennants and 26 World Series. So they're the right answer 13% of the time.

As to WS matchup. I want something weird. Like Orioles against the Reds. Or Brewers against the Rangers. I think the most recent WS appearance by any of them was the Rangers back in like 2010 or so. My Yankees aren't gonna be there so lets see some teams that never get there. Os v Reds would be especially fun. Couple of young teams full of exciting players.

Give me these all day. I know I could do at least into the 40s, struggled on the final year played with here but I pulled out the right answer thinking about teams good at the time, as well as Tommy Holmes and the Jury Box. Not at all on the first guess though!

Would love to see a video on the mid 90s Indians. That 95 team was crazy. The lineup was stacked with belle,omar, thome, Kenny lofton and the pitching staff had orel and Dennis Martinez who both had great years for how old they were

Before watching the video: I can get to 1941 pretty easily. I can kinda do them all. Excited to see what Lucas can do. During video: THE SHOT HEARD ROUND THE WORLD WAS 1951, LUCAS!!! End of video: Yeah, 48 is a tough one. You have to think of Native Americans for that, just like 1995.

I think 48 is tough because its the Sain and Spahn and pray for rain braves not the Aaron and Mathews braves of the late 50s and it's mixed with the dominance of the Cards and Dodgers 41-47 minus the fluke Cubs war Pennant in 45 then the dodgers in 49 52 53 55 56 and 59 its hard to remember the 48 Braves.

@@dylanmeek8759 And no one thinks of the Boston years, right? Even the Miracle of 1914 is fading fast from astute baseball historians. I always love to point out that the Braves franchise won 10 NL pennants in the 90's. Of course 5 of them were in the 1890's (don't ask me which years lol). So that's 5 in the 1890's, 5 in the 1990's, and only 8 all other decades combined!! (3 of which were earlier in the 19th century to boot!)

@@gakster29 The Boston years are forgotten because just about everyone from that era is gone but also the Red Sox having instant success didn't help but theres the 1914 miracle team then they were absolutely terrible in the 30s like historically bad when they were the bees. As a Cleveland fan the world series drought might be the only thing that keeps those 2 really good teams in memory otherwise people just know its the year it wasn't the Yankees or Dodgers.

‘48 I remembered because I know the ‘95 WS was a rematch of those same teams, but I couldn’t remember the NL pennant winners from ‘49-‘53 aside from the Phillies in ‘50.

@@dylanmeek8759 Very good point about the Red Sox overshadowing the Braves in the 1910s. The Sox won four titles in that decade (‘12, ‘15, ‘16, ‘18), so the Braves’ 1914 championship was sandwiched in between all of the Red Sox’ successes

It was a heart breaker, but it was the best baseball series I ever watched. Was also never prouder of the team. They gave it everything and came inches short. But they played their hearts out.
