Hello, my name is Jon Michael, and I’m a professional pianist from Birmingham, AL. If you haven’t noticed, I am a little person, standing only 3’8” tall. I’m so glad you found my channel, and I hope you are able to check out a lot of my videos! Hi Jon! Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us! I moved out of a toxic situation back in October, from GA to KY and one night, I was just really sad about the whole mess and all alone in my new home and I came across your music. It was so incredibly soothing and I couldn't turn it off, I just let it play from one song to the next and finally fell asleep listening to it. I have subscribed to your channel since then and I'm mesmerized by your music. I played piano in grade school and well into college but when my piano got taken away in my early 20's, I was hard pressed to find another and haven't really played since then. I miss it terribly but the kind of music you play is likely what I would have done, given the opportunity. I loved to compose my own songs and was especially enamored with Frank Mills back in the 80's and a lot of my compositions were spin-off's of his songs. It's been a long time, and while I have a very out-of-tune piano in my new home, I have yet to actually open it up and play it. Being rather rusty, I think I'm scared to LOL. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for making me feel better in a moment when my world was crumbling around me (and still is some days). It's awesome and you're an amazing artist. God bless you as you continue your endeavors to share your talent with the world.

@@jmopiano I really enjoy the wide variety of music and how you put your own spin on these songs, especially ones that are covers from other artists. I told my dad about your gospel songs and he enjoys them as well. He said he misses the days when I was growing up and playing hymns for him in our house when I had a piano. I miss it too. With time I hope to get back into it and re-train my fingers to play like I used to. That is one thing I stress to people who have children that want to learn to play piano. Finger strength is one of the most important aspects of playing well, and using a cheap keyboard from Walmart won't give them what they need to learn that kind of control and precision. They don't believe me until their kid can't play after 2 years of learning the notes LOL. I read that you don't play by music but just learn by listening and working it out yourself. That's pretty amazing, most of us are not able to do that. Have a blessed day!
