I used to teach K-2 Computers in my district, before leaving to be a SAHM. We used Typing Club, since it is free, for Kinder and 1st, just so they could get familiar with where the letters are located on the keyboard. My students loved it and had fun with it. We did a program called HERZOG, for 2nd grade. We would pull up a word document and teach the 2nd graders about homerow, and then make our way through the alphabet teaching them what fingers to use for each letter. We took our time and practiced each time they had computer specials (2 times a week.) We only did 1 to 2 letters a week. It depended on the class.

I would love to hear more ideas on tech ideas. We have done kiwi crates for years for that class with MTH. But we have done them all and im having a hard time coming up with more ideas, especially for younger kids.

Last year, I used my 1st graders tech funds for a fort building kit and let me just link some of the things. I am not sure what we are going to get this year. amzn.to/3V5kIkQ and amzn.to/44U4K0k and amzn.to/44UpIvV and amzn.to/3WMoHE5 My 1st grader enjoyed doing the 3D Pen as well as my big kids. I also found some engineering (lego-ish) type kits. My older kids did those more. amzn.to/4bmZrc6 or amzn.to/4bo1lcz I will try to do a haul or update sort of video when I figure out what we are doing this year.
