That boy from the video has very strong skin on he's feet to walk barefoot all the time for such dangerous surface. I saw a lot of small children that has flip flops, but don't want to wear them by some reason.

They don't have what America would call "welfare" but they can get microloans to start a tiny business. It really shows in the "slum" tours.

Not sure what you are trying to convey. Yes Manila has slums. I have seen 5 year old homeless sleeping on the overpass. Sad yes it is reality. Have you tried interviewing Barangay captains in this area to discuss this problem?

Nope. Just blend with them.. don't wear fancy clothes or bring expensive items so you can Walk on the narrow Alleyways just like local!
