Unpopular (but technical ) opinion: Sanju won because of VILAYATI cycle of ₹15,000 (1990) which in today's adjusted inflation is ₹5,05,815

31:25 that was not Hatim..Mamik was in a show called shhh..koi hai as Vikraal . After a few of the horror anthology episodes..they changed the format of the show and made it about a Ghostbuster 'Vikraal' who hunts ghosts and then he did a spin-off called Vikraal aur gabraal..Hatim's role was played by Rahil Azam. You folks do these kind of goof-ups in every episode.. thoda research kr lo bhai coz this podcast is like an archival also..jo actor/technicians ne kaam Kiya uska shi credit milna chahiye

This film is very memorable fr everyone I remember my elder bro talking about an incident of football game where the modern school won against father agnel school and the sports sir shouting at the agnel boys fr loosing against a normal school team I also reminds me of my brother who wud always b protective of me

Totally agree with Urjita about the Ramlal’s Cafe sign. Mansoor and Aamir are nothing if not detail-oriented; I think they did it on purpose. Also, “Rooth Ke Humse Kahin” is one of the most beautiful songs about sibling bonds I’ve ever heard (granted, I haven’t heard that many such songs, but I still really love the song). I listened to it constantly a few years ago when my sister was in the hospital due to serious complications following her second childbirth (I’m happy to say she and my now 4-year-old mischievous nephew are doing great today).

Fun fact about Indiana University in Bloomington: it is Ranveer Singh’s _alma mater._ (He did his B.A. there, I think in communications or something.) Mayank is great, by the way. I really enjoy his sharp observations, and the interviews he does on midday India and such.

While the show was insightful, hearing Mayank's thoughts on sports movies would have been interesting. It would be great if Gaurav Kapoor could be brought on to discuss Lagaan and the impact of sports movies on sports personalities over the years.

Good guest but i miss the og hosts riffing more, wish you guys didn’t take a backseat as much. There was loads more to talk about - from Pooja Bedi being treated almost like the vamp, the slew of early Aamir Khan films where he plays the lovable failure or loser you’re rooting for (Rangeela etc) the small town flavour, and small town romance. Personally i could go on for hours about Pehla Nasha - that song is ageless! Also, it became a thing in the 90s to say, Jo jeeta wohi Sikandar, jo hara wob bandar lol

Urjita and Abbas , mere “India Pod Day 2023” ke comments ke liye maafi. This is the 5th episode I have listened. So moving in my ranking moving Dev D to 2nd position and 1st taken up by JJWS. Fascinating to know Milind Soman was considered earlier for the negative role. Also ironical that while the absence of an apostrophe on “Ramlal’s Cafe” could be ignored but the very fact that location references of Kodaikanal stadium, Baramulla and Syndey point at Panchgani could not be done away with😁

3:20 I dunno-at least in the States, I don’t think many people would point to their tweens/early teens as being the best phase of their lives. Those are really awkward years for most people, at least here. Ages 10-15 or so were definitely among the worst of my life.

The hosts , especially Urjita, seem like amateurs in this episode because Mayank is such a pro as far as films go. Urjita's youth seemed very apparent especially in the conversation about the romance and feminism.

Consider this explanation: Aamir Khan is day-dreaming about his new attractive girlfriend. He probably has seen the Marilyn Monroe movie which has the scene where she poses with air blowing her skirt. So he imagines his girlfriend in that attractive pose. In the scene, when he tries to kiss her, she disappears, proving that it was indeed a dream. So the scene could just be Aamir's character's mind copying Marilyn's pose and projecting it on his GF than the director plagiarising it.

#abbasmomin who is this KG school girl and what she has done till now..... get some mature and interesting people on the show....she is so irritating and sounds very pathetic... And yes..... koi bhi chutya uth ke classic films ko criticise na kare... pehle dum rakhe us level ka kuch banaye phir baat kare to sahi lagta hai... is bachkani ko pehle hatao..!!
