I commented on this - I watched an interview of him at the Breakfast Club about “middle America”. The execs dictate what material he, as an Asian America can do and cannot do. With a National show like The Tonight Show, they have to cater to the rest of the country, yes including middle America, where they wouldn’t get the mom jokes. Go figure.

Great video! My wife and I actually interviewed Jo Koy on our podcast recently! We are regular people that are trying to build something and we were handing out fliers for our podcast in the parking lot of his show and we got a chance to meet him. We talked to Jo about how our flyer got him to do our show and how he landed the tonight show. He is such a great and humble guy!

Love Jo Koy. He was really watered down. Like that's the cleanest I've ever heard him be. Y'all need to go checkout his stand up. He goes in. Check out his special when he talks about dropping his kid off at school and his son doesn't want to acknowledge him.

Just like my son,14 y.o. he doesn’t want to go out with me anymore. For months that I didn’t go anywhere without him, until one day, I built up a courage. I had to accept the reality. Many times I turned around in my subdivision to get back home. I felt the emptiness, & sadness inside. I cried, yes! I was a staying home mom for over 10 years. My husband was or still in the medical field so I took care of my son since birth. This is a Filipino culture, we put our heart & soul to our kids, hard to let go of them even when they’re grown ups.

Nice set. I like when comedians use their actual lives to make fun of. Teens and parents should be able to relate to stuff like this and it wasn't vulgar (comedians rely too much on cursing and salacious speech too much).

Jo Koy, no matter what he does....he has great talent and knows how to keeps his career positive and productive. I am proud to have a genuine filipino guy who I might be related to and even get mistaken for looking like him sometimes...hands down, he went out to do what he wanted to do in life, took care of his family and friends, raise his son, and even keep strong so he can do whatever he needed to do to get the success he is blessed with now. Bottom line is that he showed all the haters that people can and will get what they want regardless of any negativity or time spent to get where he deserved to be in life. Sorry to get serious for a minute, but people have to acknowledge what he is due. Don't make him angry lmao...
