Jo Weil and Thore Schölermann (along with Jana Julie Kilka (Jessica), Renée Weibel (Helena) and Verena Bonato (Nico) from VL) at Aids Gala and Christopher Street Day in Cologne last weekend.
Dirk Bach, the actor who played the priest who married Olli and Christian, died on October 1st, 2012. R.I.P. Dirk. You'll be missed. ♥

Schön ist es, dass Thore ehrlich sagt, dass am Anfang ein bisschen Angst hatte er, diese Rolle zu spielen, aber die Rolle hat ihn zum Besser verändert. Ich finde das ist mehr impressiv zu sagen als ob hätte er keine Sorgen dazu. Er hat was wichtig gelernt: dass seine Angst unnötig war, und für alle Leut ist das eine gute Lehre die jeder lernen soll. Es bringt nichts Neues, wenn man sagt, "Niemals hatte ich Angst ein Schwuler zu spielen," aber wenn man sagt "Ja, um ehrlich zu sein, ich hatte Angst, aber ich habe gelernt, es gab kein Grund dafür," das zeigt man dass ein starkerer Mensch werden kann. Und noch mehr, wann er seine Angst überkommen hat, sind mehrehre gute Sachen ihm angekommen. Er findet sich eine Freundin die er endlich heiratet, einen neuen Freund macht er mit Jo, er findet Beruf das ihn freut, er wird berühmt und kriegt sich viele Fans, die ihn aus der ganze Welt einladen. Das alles ist ihm angekommen, nach er seine Angst angegriffen hatte und machte was daraus. Das ist doch heroisch, ein echter Mensch. Dass er seine Angst übertreten kann, können so viele Anderen davon auch lernen.

No matter what may come to pass with Christian and Ollie in the show, they will ALWAYS be remembered as the No. 1 gay couple on world wide TV. They have definitely made an incredible impression to fans all over the globe. No other couple have had the devoted fan base that Thore and Jo have created with their characters of Christian and Ollie.

It is really great to see Thore and Jo enjoying themselves together for a change! I know they are good friends in real life and it's good to see that after all of the strife their characters are going through now. They came out and supported a great cause, Bravo! Thore's hot pink jacket was awesome! Glad to see he's very comfortable wearing something outrageous and having a great time!

That was great May, thanks! I found that really interesting, what Thore said about taking on the part - it's good to know that he opened his mind and dealt with those fears and got on with the job. He certainly pulled it off and now here he is being so supportive and open at Pride.

Loved this. And discovering that Thore had issues at first playing Christian becoming gay/bi is a little surprising but then again not. I applaud him for his honest and not avoid the question or lie. I see nothing wrong in him feeling that way. As he said he's from the countryside where he wasn't around it so it would be different for him. Also if he was to be playing Christian as a killer, no one would be asking him if he actually was however it always comes up goes he plays a gay/bi character.

The 'Kulturkirche' in Cologne is a regular protestant church. But the man in charge is very modern and open-minded, so a lot of cultural events take place in there. It is everything from literary events to comedy shows and rock concerts. I have been to some concerts there and the atmosphere is incredible. It definitely was the perfect setting for this most amazing wedding.

I love the fact that even though he was/is not in his comfort zone having to be intimate with another man he still decides to do it. This reminds me of Guy Burnet who played Craig Dean (HO). He also got slated for saying pretty much the same thing that Thore says about playing a straight character thats suddenly is into a man. And James Sutton (JP) justs like Jo is fine with it although James isn't gay in RL. I just love the actors for helping create this chatacters and SL's. Well done to all..

thanks May you are my champion for all your hard work. 1st.-I do not know what i would do if thore came up to me, i think die but i would die happy. 2nd-I have looked for a Thore/Christian all my life proof that they through away the mold after making him. *sighs* 3rd. Trust me Jo, more than 5 to 6 people have been touched by you, try hundred of thousands all over this world. 4th The wedding was the most beautiful awesome wedding i have ever seen any where, and i don't do weddings

Absolutely wonderful! Was really impressed by the two subtle looks Jo gave Thore while the latter was talking about his impressions on youths' attitudes towards AIDS in Cologne (4:55-4:59) and on getting on the parade vehicle for the first time (7:25-7:28). Sooooooo sweet! ^_^

@archraskal What should I say? I met Jo in December in Munich for a few Minutes and he was just beautiful and incredibly nice and friendly! But I didn't speak a word to him because I was just stunned! So I was looking forward to this weekend, because I'm living in Vienna and it's not so easy to get time and money to just get there. And Now I met Thore and Jo for three days in a row. Jo is just amazing. I hugged him and I'm just happy now because I love him. And Thore is just equally great.

@claudiosgaravizzi wtf Thore has said on many occassions that he has no problems playing a gay character he was talking about at first and look how far he has come now. I myself have heard him say on many interviews that he is very comfortable in his role as a part of chrolli and he and Jo are very PROUD of the work they have put in it. You and i must be looking at this vid with different colored lenses mate. I from the role of hes my hero and yours from i don't know disgust or hate

@soonersherewego calm down, no disgust or hate here, don't be so upset just because I have expressed my reservations about Thore's uneasiness. IMO, apart from the routine smiles, he was pretty lost in several of the segments. And after 2 years, he could express something better than the usual lines. If he played a killer, or a womanizer, do you think he would explain to us over and over how challenging were the parts, or how easy, for that matter? really, who cares anymore... who cares?

E quando me pego pensando em quantas e quantas pessoas tem-se dedicado a eles, me vem dúvidas pois, sabemos que, na vida real, eles não são gays!! E claramente, O ator Thore sente-se incomodado, de maneira sutil, mas talvez ele não tenha um suporte psicológico para lidar com fãs homossexuais de todo o mundo.
