One of America’s most controversial folk singers, Joan Baez, performed last night before a capacity house in Civic Theater while literature was distributed outside accusing her of Communist sympathies. Harold Keen spoke to her in her dressing room before her performance. They touched on a variety of important topics. Joan said the draft shouldn’t be cooperated with. She owned a school in Carmel Valley in Northern California called Institute for the study of nonviolence. She spoke about war, communism, and laws. She said if laws are no good, we’re the only ones who can change them. Baez was 24 years old.

At the time of this interview I was a young Marine (USMC 1962-66) serving in Vietnam (combat outfit but in a support roll). I believe she and I are on opposite sides of the political spectrum. I respect her opinion(s); I love her music.

Very cool and coherent lady The horrible voice of the bully establishment represented by the interviewer F your Wars People the world over want to live in Peace not to be slaughtered in War (started by war mongers like Putin or war profiteers in the arms industry)

why today she supports zelensky and does not refuse to pay taxes, given that a lot of public money in the usa is destined for the armaments of the ukrainian-russian conflict? has she changed her mind ?
