Joan Jett is Rock and Roll: So Pure and Simple

I made this Joan Jett documentary with the solely purpose of sharing my love and admiration for Joan Jett and to show everyone my perspective on how much of an Icon Joan Jett is, also, to honor Joan and congratulate her for her 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
I used material uploaded to youtube and for that I have to thank all the Jettheads out there that keep uploading cool stuff.
If anyone doesn't want their material to appear on this fan made documentary, please let me know and I will take it out of the video.
Also, I would like to thank all the cool photographers like Bob Gruen, Jenny Lens and Brad Elterman among others, because I've used some of their pictures because they are so cool.
Thanxs to Joan jett and the Blackhearts for keeping Rock and Roll alive since 1980, and thanx to Joan Jett for being so "Enlightenly and Rock and Roll"

Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Suzu Quatro, Joan Jett, Bonnie Raitt, Wendy O Williams, Angel Gossow........Joan is on my short list of the women who are absolutely Rock Goddesses, and hell she's the only one even cooler then Johnny Ramone to boot, not a sheep, she's a trail blazer... Joan Jett is the Valkyrie of Rock and Rool....she bleeds, it, sweets it.....she is Rock in Roll.

I found this documentary thru your comment to Dennis DeYoung's Facebook page. You've done great work! Joan is powerful, adorable and charismatic. I'd LOVE to have a conversation with her; every interview she does is compelling, because she is sincere and highly intelligent. (I would also be very turned on, just to look into those big beautiful eyes! She has a sexy speaking voice, too.) Bewteen 12 and 21, my favorite bands went: Beatles->Styx->Joan Jett->punk->the Cars->Pink Floyd->Beach Boys->Lou Reed. No obvious pattern. The ONLY thing they have in common is _great fucking songs!_ Joan proves that covering a song is an art unto itself, AND she unleashed great tunes of her own onto the charts. Also did great videos and concerts. I love that the first song we hear in your documentary is the Isley Bros's "Shout". Talk about improving on the original! Also love her Glitter covers; her video to "I Love You Love Me Love" makes me want to marry her. (It's hard to separate her talent from her attractiveness, she's the hottest female rocker ever.) I want to repeat from my FB reply to you, comparing Joan to Styx/DeYoung is just unnecessary. They are extremely different artists, and there's plenty of room to like them both. DDY didn't insult her, and if it seems like he did, the man deserves to be forgiven. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame does not matter, but it is absurd that Styx isn't in it. I'm happy for Joan that she is, but I don't like a group of non-musician, ex-rock-critics deciding what's "best" in rock music. We need a Hall of Fame, but the one that exists isn't it!!! Best wishes to you and all Joan Jett lovers!

Also, I think one reason why Joan stands apart and outlasts a lot of her original hard-rock peers is, she's got a sense of humor, and there is JOY in her music. Rock is all about *freedom* and freedom is *joyful.* A lot of hard-rockers take themselves much too seriously, can't or won't smile, much less crack a joke. Obviously, Ms. Jett takes her _music_ seriously, but doesn't take _herself_ too seriously. She seems happy in her career, and shares that happiness with her fans. Like she says from 12:05 to 13:10, she wants to connect with her fans through her performance. She comes across as a friendly and affectionate person. It's all in the word "charisma" -- you either have it or you don't. She has it all.

I love Joan Jett! She is rock 'roll I met her once a long time again signing autographs in a record store she was soooooo nice,so f...ck'in cool and so beautiful, it was after that I tried to look like her,dyed my hair "jet" black etc.

When I took a look at Second Life, I was annoyed by all the female avatars being kitschy cutsey Barbies. Look at that confident body language at 16:47 - she should do motion capturing for avatars and animated movies.
