Joan is a fabulous actress, some of scenes in KL were extraordinary, the entire Verna scenes were brilliant. She also was on kojak as a police officer who took on the guys and again again she was just wonderful

After watching this, I could see Joan play an over-the-top character as Tallulah Bankhead. Joan reminds me very much of those classic Hollywood actresses like Bette Davis who could transform themselves into total different characters then they had previously played. I could also see Joan in The Lion In Winter playing Queen Eleanor Of Aquitaine

Joan's talent, beauty and distinctive voice made an impact on me in the early '70s when she starred on "Temperatures Rising" - and I was 11, 12, 13 years old. We are so fortunate that she had the opportunity to show her full range in 14 years on Knots Landing. What a lively interview!

So interesting that she was Ted were paired together on Wonder Woman. I just always assumed it was CBS promoting them in a way for Knots.

My only complaint here is that this isn't a longer interview. Joan is an amazing actor. Her performance as Valene was never a disappointment. She delivered time and again, and with the episode where she sees her babies for the first time (The Long and Winding Road), gave Knots their only #1 spot in the Neilson ratings during the entire 14 years of the series. Knots Landing will always be one of THE best shows in the history of television. Fact.

I always wanted Dolly Parton to appear on Knots Landing & Dallas. Would of loved to see her doing scenes with Ted Shackleford.

I mean, no offense to the people who watch those shows (I’m guilty of checking out clips here and there myself, since I grew up watching Kim and Kyle acting) or even the people featured in them, but I would hate to see Joan lower herself to that kind of trashy spectacle. I doubt she ever would, either. No one trains at the Yale School of Drama to wind up in the mud like that, especially with a highly successful legit acting career under their belt. I was disappointed to see Kim Fields on one of them and was glad to hear she didn’t last long.
