Fantastic performance! Good for her. Loved that. And that's the best I ever saw her skate

I think this was the best Jo ever skated and she deserved it after the hell she had been through since 1988 and I loved this programme so much that I had a similar dress made for my free programme at the time. Lovely to see Carlo applauding her after they parted on less than pleasant terms

Her best FP ever, unrecognizable, the jumps are so clean and fully rotated, I just love this performance and wish she had skated like this more than once! Someone, please post her 91 Europeans FP as she skated well there too.

What an amazing performance for her!!! Sure, the choreography might have been a bit too simple and generic but everything else worked perfectly. You know, back when she was training with Jill Trenary, their styles were quite different. However, a few years after she went back to the GB to train, she began skating with Trenary-like sophistication. It is truly unfortunate that Conway was unable to deliver performances like this one more consistently, as she was such a talented skater.

I thought Carlo had a BOGO special with Jill and Joanne.

Great to see this performance. Thanks for posting this. She truly was among last Fassi-influenced students, and it shows very much in her skating. Wonder what she's up to these days?

Seeing what a marvelous talent she was, sad she didn't have greater success at the world level.

Sadly the pressure exerted on her by the media who were looking to her after the success of Torvill and Dean was too much

Isn't it nice to see all these lovely comments about Joanne. A super skater when on form, it's just such a shame all the doubts crept back in the following year. I heard from someone "knowledgeable" that her practices at the 1992 Worlds would have put her on the podium had they been replicated in the competition.
