When 2 monosaccharides come together and form a glycosidic bond, they become a disaccharide. In this video, we will be looking at the structure and examples of disaccharides we find in nature.

Hello! Thank you for this video, but can I please ask something? Do Disaccharides help in absorptions of other vitamins and mineral? Thank you! PS This is a question in my textbook, I'm not sure if it helps at absorption of vitamins at all, but I'm guessing it doesn't. Hope you can help me clear my confusion tyy

Hi Watson! To be honest, I have never heard of disaccharides being associated with the absorption of vitamins and minerals. I searched for this information as well and couldn't find anything. Sorry, I wish I could give you a clear answer.
