This young man would benefit greatly from a different Bible translation. KJV is not as understandable as other choices.

Thanks for the comment. He has a dictionary and I really think the other ones are harder to understand. Some leave out verses like half of Mark 16 and 1 John 5:7. Also they make light of the deity of Christ. Like in acts 8 with the Ethiopian eunuch.

@@BarnettBaptist I would recommend the King James Only Controversy by James White. And Mark Ward’s videos on the subject.

@@BarnettBaptist Textual variants like the long ending of Mark, the woman caught in adultery, 1 John 5:7, Acts 8:37, etc, are all easily explainable without any need to suspect a conspiracy. The KJV is great, but it’s wisdom to use more than one translation. Even the KJV translators themselves suggested such in their “translators to the reader”, which unfortunately is left out of most modern editions of the KJV. Probably because it refutes KJV-onlyism ha. Just saying man that we can’t rely on only one English translation. We should use multiple english translations, and more importantly we should always be referencing the underlying hebrew and greek with a good concordance, lexicon, etc.

@@Matthew-307 I've studied the issue from every angle. My brother uses esv and other versions. I guess I'm just old school

@@BarnettBaptist Nothing wrong with old school. One of my favorite Bibles I use often is a Scofield Reference Bible, good ol KJV.
