They day I accepted that God had repeatedly led me, by his sovereign will, into the great sufferings of my life, was a day of many tears. But I finally knew he was in control and that he loved me, because he would not let me settle for an aimless life of lukewarmness. Now for the love of him I will tear out my eye before allowing anything to become more supremely valuable than the one true God! Keep us humble lord and let our eyes not slip from you.

A few years back my sister who listened to John Piper regularly explained to me of God’s sovereignty over the bad in our lives, it brought relief that all was in His hands and not our striving to take matters in our own hands.

Amen. God is merciful. He always forgives. Never be ashamed to take your failures to him. He is for you, not against you! God is with you in the storm. He knows your troubles, he hears you! He is for you, on your side, always! It may feel silent at times, but he’s holding you close! May the Lord return soon! We are drawing closer. He is coming! Believe and trust in the Lord, you will be saved. Period. May the Lord bless you all! Hang in there family. Stay strong. It is not easy following the Lord. We are scoffed at. We give up our earthly dreams, our fleshly desires. What the enemy offers is short lived, but heaven is forever! Life may seem or be unfair, but God is with you! Always remember that. Things may get better or worse for you, but a kingdom awaits you! Finish the race! Repent daily and carry your cross. This world is fading fast. Your troubles are temporary! New channel here, I’d appreciate any kind of support. Don’t give up! God loves you so much! So do I. The Lord bless you!!

God's speech is about creation and birth, about feeding and nourishing. It's about the limits of the beginning and the end and the depths and heights of all of the cosmos. It's about the wind of speech, the lightning of insight, and the rains of blessing. Every part of God's speech references something back in the speeches of Job and his friends. In every case, God says something different. For example, Job's friends speak of the lion as evil and how God will one day "break its teeth". God asks "Who helps the Lion hunt? Who feeds them?" He does. God pours himself out toward all his creation. Another example is the wild ox and wild donkey, who Job talks about as people who have left the city and scavenge in the wilderness. Job pities them. God is proud of them, their strength, toughness and independence.

Crisies= Christ Sees! God said that, not me. I feel different now. I know things aren't about feeling, but even though I thought I was saved most of my life, then got properly saved, I still had weight. Even though I tried to get over it, surrender it, overcome it, I couldn't get rid of it or put a finger on it. God led me to Job when I got properly saved, and I was relieved thinking all my torture was past. But it was just more torture. Different torture, and admittedly not as bad, but all my strength was already gone, and somehow I had more to lose. I should actually be dead, if I was anyone else. God has been doing something, whatever it was. But He said I would lose all my weight this year. Had no idea this is what He meant! Had a moocher kicked out of my house, and that was a huge deal. But I finally feel like I have gotten rid of soul leeches too🥰🎉🙏🎁😇

I ALWAYS, thought elihu, was NOT, as the others. Even the first time I studied it. Not one prophet, or hero, did NOT, dispute, reject, argue, with God, about what was expected out of them. And all the questions ? Well, sure I didn't hang the stars, or hook the leviathan. What does that have to do with being horribly afflicted ?

I ask this question honestly: What about Christian suicide? Since (1) God does all things well, including fitting and dispensing our trials and tribulations perfectly to our frame for our benefit, and (2) It is possible for a Christian to commit sins while under trial (including the sin of murder, and murder of self), and (3) God will not let us be tempted beyond our ability to endure Then what are we to think when a Christian has gone through so much tribulation that even after much prayer, he commits suicide?
@gohawks3571
@gohawks3571 9 ай бұрын
I can only tell my experience. Yes, it's definitely possible to sin under any circumstance (I know, obvious), but about the testing & the strength I have been unlearning bad teaching. God won't test us without giving us a way out, but it IS beyond our ability. That is because we are to live by faith. It is God that gives us strength to overcome. But we can't overcome in willpower alone, only thru His strength in faith. As far as suicide, I am learning that I don't know. For example, a soldier who would rather kill him/herself to prevent information to pass to enemies, thus protecting others, has died out of love. Or someone with mental illness who has strong urges to kill or otherwise hurt others, killing themselves instead of allowing their inability to control themselves has also died out of love. This is speculation, please know! I don't know who has or hasn't made it to heaven, in the situation of suicide. I don't know. But I haven't come up with an example out of the Bible of any positive suicide. I can say He stopped me, and I was really pissed about it. I was in extreme abuse in childhood, with no relief or escape. Isolated, not having any friends, relatives, or any person to trust. I hated existing (in fact, even though my life has improved, I am still in this bad attitude ☹️ Life hasn't been anything I enjoy). I was in the kitchen with a knife at 8, and was gonna kill myself. At 8. God spoke audibly to me, saying "Would you rather be tormented for a short time, or forever?" I was soooo angry! Obviously I didn't kill myself. But I was raised by "Christians", who isolated me so much that they were my only teachers and examples. Pretty much every kind of abuse you can think of, I had. God basically told me He knows, but I will be punished for killing myself. AND it didn't get better. Instead, He cried with me.... I don't understand, only know He spared me. Life hasn't been a joyful thing for me, to the point I'm trying to comprehend how I can enjoy heaven. I have asked to die and just let me be a brick in heaven. I'd rather be an inanimate object than to exist. But still, even though I'm so selfish, I do love God. I know even though my life seems worthless, He does not crush the broken reed. He loves me, even though I don't get it. I asked Him what exactly IS the joy of the Lord. I am not in understanding yet, but I do know that one can't comprehend the light if they've never left it. It's only from the darkness one could appreciate the light. I am a crushed vessel, practically mesh. That's the only way the light can shine out. I can only hope and pray that He helps me be obedient enough for the light to shine out. I can't comprehend it now, but hopefully someday I can experience the joy of the Lord...

@@ramieal-hazar2438 Wow! Glad you showed me it has only been a month. Because, God has healed my suicidal depression! Out of nowhere, finally just gone. Life has been difficult all this time, but in this past month it went from oppressive and no end in sight, to improvement in life and better times ahead. Every single thing had been going wrong for so long, I just couldn't imagine anymore anything getting any better. But, sometimes you are the tested, and sometimes you are the test. If you think about Lazarus and the rich man, Lazarus was the test, and the rich man was the tested. God allowed Lazarus to be the one suffering, and had him encounter the rich man. God provided the rich man his riches, and he was supposed to share. Ruth encountered Boaz, and he almost immediately stuck his neck out to help her. Different situation, but kinda not. The rich man wouldn't help Lazarus, and God ended both of their tests. Lazarus was rewarded, and the rich man went where he went. His heart was not with God, but with the world. He was a Jew by birth, and had riches, so assumed he was blessed of God and therefore confirmed in his status as God's child. But He rains on the just and unjust. God tested him, for however long the time period was, to bring him to compassion. But it never happened. So God ended Lazarus's suffering. God has guided things in my life, but I still had to go thru things for whatever reason. It is hard to know what's happening while you are in the situation, but God could be doing surgery on your life and heart. You just don't know it. Remember the blind man. The disciples asked who sinned that he should be blind, but Jesus said it wasn't sin, but he was a person who God would use to show His sovereignty and power. And the man rejoiced and was confident, more confident and outspoken for God than his parents. Whatever is happening in your life, it sure can hurt. But God means it for better eventually, rather than your harm. Life would be great if we all were born in means to perfectly kind and loving parents, and you only met nice people, made it through school right into a great job, life, and retirement. But it certainly isn't most of our experience. If it was that, we would only be thinking of this life and generally have no thought of God at all. With hardships, we cry out to God. He also uses those times to shave bad things off of us. Being improved by God hurts, but it's so worth it. Look at Lazarus's and the rich man's ends; polar opposites. Lazarus was sick, homeless, and humiliated, with dogs licking his sores! And the rich man gave more compassion to the dogs than to Lazarus, due to his blessed position. I know I practically wrote two books here, lol. But I hope that this gave you hope, and you know you do have something to look forward to. I am in a time of experiencing God's all of a sudden blessings. Praying that whatever happens to you, you allow God to do His work, and that your blessing is right there🥰😇🙏🙏🙏 Jesus loves you; don't forget it! Internet hugs🤗

"What Does the Bible Say About Speaking in Tongues" Good question Tiff, kind Sir... For this subject has been debated for probably centuries. But never more than when the "Pentecostal" church (and it's spin off churches) were created in 'circa 1906, in Sacramento, CA. Who believed: that the "Holy Spirit" comes down on them; and then they begin "talking in tongues". IE: Yet there are MANY more denominations that have never done that. And most of them blast the Pentecostals and their spin off churches. With no uncertain terms; calling them bad names. Espousing that the bible never meant that! But the debate and arguments never stop to this day. And that denomination IS the fastest growing church in the world. My take on that "phrase" in Acts and other books; in the NT is this: When Jesus told his disciples to go into all the world and preach the gospel; that caused a MAJOR problem. And that is: how were they going to communicate with a myriad number of different languages (AKA: often called "Speaking in tongues" in the bible). Well "no worries" folks! Jesus created a miracle; so that when the disciples preached...EVERY person that would not normally have understand their "tongue"; the Holy Spirit caused the listener to hear the disciples; in their own tongue. And vice versa; when they would speak in their own tongue; the disciples heard them in their own tongue. Awesome mystery. This went on for about a 100 yrs; until the "Christian Gospel: had grown to such a huge massive "Christian world" (at that time); there was NO reason for "Speaking in Tongues" any more. So it died off, of course. But sadder: their are people, that believe "Ghostly, Superstitious; and Demoniacal" scenarios. And the rest is History. Sad, but very true. And end of story. May Jesus have mercy... ...In any case kind Sir and Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!

Sir. You are so mistaken about Speaking in Tongues. There is nothing Demonic about it. Jesus Christ taught about it Mark 16:16 And Acts 2:38 it fell on the Day of Pentecost. Acts Chapter 10 Cornelius and his WHOLE HOUSEHOLD spoke in TONGUES. The Apostle Paul talked About it in Corinthians and other places. Don't be Fearful and let Erroneous Teaching tell you otherwise. Seek the Lord with all your heart and he will show you the truth about Speaking in Tongues. God has not given us the Spirit of Fear.

Elihu is wrong. Job didn't have a sediment of pride. He was "righteous and blameless" and what he spoke was right, God confirms it in the text. Job suffered so that he could become the mediator. In chapter 24 he identifies with the oppressed. In chapter 27 he identifies with the wicked, having suffered the same fate as the wicked. God valued Job's integrity and sought to make it known to all the people, to his friends and family, and to all of heaven. "Job was beaten so that his aroma might be spread more widely." Job then sees God, and becomes the mediator, offering a prayer and forgiveness for his friends, then he is brought gifts and comforted by all the people who recognize his innocent suffering.

The obvious problem with what you are saying is NOBODY is righteous or blameless. We are all in sin. I didnt take that verse as meaning Job was without sin. Just that he was a very upright man doing his absolute best to live the way God wanted.
@RT-qz5ci
@RT-qz5ci 6 ай бұрын
I also want to point out the things Job said about God were clearly sinful since God himself rebukes him for it and Job repents. He is not blameless in the sense he didnt sin. He is trusting God fully.
@JessPurviance
@JessPurviance 6 ай бұрын
@@RT-qz5ci "The Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite: 'My anger burns against you and against your two friends, for you have not spoken of me what is right, as my servant Job has.'" It's pretty clear to me that the book of Job is trying to put two things in tension. 1 - Job did nothing wrong to deserve his suffering. And, 2 - God, who is good and wise, brought suffering onto him. The book says that the suffering of Job was not punishment or discipline. It was not due to sin or pride. How do we know this? This was the argument of the friends. That Job had done something wrong. God rebukes them for their error. And Job, who spoke rashly and harshly, spoke right. All that to say, the book is supposed to provoke questions. (It is a wisdom book) Much of what happens in the book of Job is the opposite of how we think God should act. God makes a righteous man suffer? Why?

This opinion about Elihu is off. It seems as if you are forcing otherwise good teaching through the character of Elihu. Also, your initial 5 reasons do not stand up as reasons to support Elihu on their own. So what if God does not rebuke Elihu as God rebukes Job's 3 friends. The same argument could be made that Elihu is wrong because God does not praise Elihu. God testifies that Job has spoken rightly about Him (God). Someone could argue Elihu is wrong because God does not credit him as God credits Job. So that argument does not work in defense of Elihu. Question: if God states that Job has spoken rightly of Him (God), why does Elihu not say anything like that? Question: Elihu states that Job should be "tried to the end" for answering like a "wicked man" (Job 34:36). Why would Elihu say that? This is the exact opposite of God's testimony about Job. God says plainly in the text that Job has spoken rightly about Him. Question: What is your best theory as to what happens to Elihu at the end of this story? Question: In Job 36:4, Elihu claims that his words are not false and that one who is perfect in knowledge is with them. Do you believe Elihu is perfect in knowledge? If so, why? And how is this confirmed? Question: did you notice that Elihu is angry with the 3 friends for a *different reason* than why God is angry with the 3 friends? It says Elihu is angry with them because they could not convict Job yet declared him guilty. However, God is angry with them because they have not spoken rightly about him *as Job has*. Did you notice that? Elihu is angry at them for a different reason than God. What do you think about that? Do not be deceived by Elihu. Even if you are able to contort his words into some useful teaching, it does not mean that his character and role in the story of Job is a good one. Don't be fooled.
