Thats fine and all but what ruins it is the choice to cgi it tf up. The cgi aged horribly. Should’ve use practical effects for his make up at the very least jeez..

Yeah, that was a terrible ending to that trilogy, the first 2 were decent but that last one had me shaking my head most of the film, it was upsetting to say the least

Never let someone else wear the Myers mask? Ben Tramer, 4 boys in H4, and multiple people in the RZ movies, and Sartain all wore the mask, not including all the different masks Michael wore. Just seems like a weird hill to die on when it comes to requests.

@@Dr_1212 I actually witnessed the peak of the slasher era. Born in the early 70's. The 78 Halloween film is considered the blueprint. 1974 Black Christmas and Texas Chainsaw happened prior. The 72 film House on the left was done by Cunningham and Craven. Both wanted in on the genre and Wes took awhile due to the budget he needed for his vision with Freddy. I know the og Friday film was inspired by the 78 Halloween film. The truth is when Micheal returned the script was flipped. Halloween was chasing the Friday Formula. Micheal was considered a far weaker version then Jason. Also Micheal wasn't that big in the 80's. He laid dormant for 7 years during the peak. This hurt. The slasher genre was dominated by Freddy and Jason. Freddy and Jason became pop culture big. If you could even find a Myers mask people called you "Jason". Thats crazy to think about but facts. I liked Micheal for being his own thing. I never understood why Micheal needs to be mentioned in a fight with either. I viewed og Halloween like The shining. Great film. The issue was Freddy and Jason were Supernatural. One a Dream Demon and the other a powerful undead Zombie. When you think pop culture in the 80's, It's MTV, TV series, Video game, Talk shows, Hotline calls, and music videos. Freddy was King but Jason was a solid #2. Jason was powered up near the level of Freddy in F13th Part 6. After Dream Warriors and Jason Lives the hype for a fight started between the 2. Freddy was huge box office with casual horror fans. Jason was a huge cult following with big costime sales. I would say Freddy's Glove and Jason's Mask are the 2 most iconic symbols in slasher Horror history.

@@tedunseth3966 If I remember correctly there was a movie that predated all I think its the town that dreaded sundown I see your a Jason & Freddy fan I kike them too but Jason didn't get good until pt 2 after it got dumb Freddy 1 & 2 was good but then it got dumb Og Halloween 1 & 2 are classics even 4 eas good 3 was a good stand alone film but to me its always Micheal he was the 1 that popularized them in my opinion inlike Leatherface but he was just a psycho

@tedunseth3966 doesn't matter Michael started the slasher genre and is the OG slasher king, even scream the 2nd slasher on the mount Rushmore of horror paid homage because halloween is the blueprint for modern horror, it gave scream the formula to create the rules and etc

Still much better than the awkward "wrestling show" Freddy vs Jason, not to mention the unspeakable 2010 remake, oh boy! "Final Nightmare" was quite good and entertaining in its own right, it just wasn't a horror movie.

Not saying ends would be a good idea even with this change, but it would have been less jarring if Corey was introduced in 2018 and slowly built up to his part in ends. Could also make it so him and Michael run into each other and interact in a different way as memes of Michael riding together on Corey's bike to the doctors house are more haunting than any horror movie deserves to be.

I agree. I know it’s not true to the Halloween lore but I think he did a great job.

Because of the horrible trailer park dialogue, the over the top exploring of Michael's backstory, and just in general halloween didn't need a remake, the only time a movie needs a remake is if it was crap honestly but halloween? No lol

To each their own I personally only enjoyed the parts that were modernized from the OG he had great cinematography but Rob falls short when it comes to writing, as a director he's great but he needs to let someone take over the writing

@@darrellmetcalfe3615 2 and 4 are definitely better than 3 you can argue the original is the highest quality movie for sure, but i think 2 is more fun to rewatch as the original is a slow burn 4 is a bad movie that i love, i can watch it every day in October, i don't feel that way about 3 that's for sure

freddy was interesting in the first movie, killers aren't supposed to be comedians

Freddie's abilities are interesting, but him and Jason are straight forward regardless of what the films do. Michaels lore always add ambiguity to it even when they pushed it into absurd territory. I find the ambiguous nature more interesting but easier to mess up. Jason and Freddy just need decent kills and fun camp to be decent.
