I just got mine I have to go buy some butane is this a Pezo lighter for the ignition? I thought it would have a usb for the the ignition ? I put the button down but I see no spark

I have not looked up any prices yet. As a past mechanic, I have used propane torches and smaller butane torches where the torch is at a 90-degree angle to the part you hold. So the butane torch thing has been around for like 20 years. And they are both useful for jobs where you need localized heat. It is the shape of this type of butane torch that is interesting, and I think makes it handy. As a mechanic I could see this torch getting into areas the other butane torches would have difficulty reaching. I suspect in the US what is going to happen is it is going to be viewed as a weapon which as they are now could make a defensive weapon. I suspect at some point in time the ones made for sale in the US will be regulated and casterated and won't do the 12-foot flame thing.

A torch can't be used as a self defense weapon. A torture device sure. But how are you going to defend yourself from a thug with a lighter bro? Are they going to stand still while you try to catch bits of their sleeves on fire?

It is that way with a thug having any weapon. For me I walk alone in allies in my city. I try to be aware of what is going on with persons around me so I am not mentally asleep when something happens. Some tug sees me and thinks Old Man, an easy target. Next thing you know he is getting flames on his face or hands. The hope is he will change his mind. Not having a flame thrower, I carry a knife all of the time. There just has to be some option for me to fight back and not have to go to my knees begging for my life. I would rather fight. If that means having a flame to flame dual so be it.

I ordered 6 for Xmas gifts. None of them worked. I put butain in three of them. Not one lite. I had called the number for them to respond since it was a 90 day refund. They Never contacted me. I've left several messages by phone and email. Not one response! Waste of money!

Hi, I use a standard gas refill with no adapter. You can buy it from the pound shop, the small Swan can etc, but... If you're having trouble, there may be something wrong with the lighter?? I'm not sure.

It doesnt exist. The one on the advert shows typical carbon based fuel burning eg the yellow colour of partially burned fuel. Plasma flames are tiny and can be used as an ignition source only. This product may use a plasma flame to ignite the butane. The adverts on youtube state this is butane free; very odd.@@melankollymonroe

Something wrong with that at full whack mine produces a thin blue flame. That's a yellow flame I reckon that is leaking gas from the valve

Hello, Mine dose produce a nice thin blue flame too on half way. But It only gose "out of control lol" when you turn the "flame up to it's full" capacity" On a full charge, But It also holds charge perfectly... if you keep the adjustment down to half way it's fine, as you can see in the video" I really like this product, and before this video I tested it for months, if you go back on my channel, you'll see me using it on last bonfire night, it's been "great" Thanks for your comment.

@@technicalmadman2986 The ad said this technology was just released by the military, doesn't use fuel, all electrical. I went to Order Now & proceeded to order that product. What i received was a butane lighter that looks just like the one advertised --- instructions in Chinese!. Not what I ordered. Apparently, judging by the comments, others have had the same experience. I will never look at your KZfaq channel again.

30 minutes ago I saw the ad for the Bright Fire version of this product pop up on KZfaq before a video I wanted to watch. Right away I thought, false advertisement. I didn't believe their claims. It has to have a pressurized fuel source for that much flame. Why would you need a USB charge port on a lighter? Maybe for the spark igniter? The cheaper lighters smack a quarts crystal and get a spark nearly every-time! .... Lastly. The practical purpose of this lighter is tiny.

Your lighter might be faulty, there should be no "flame" - if it is flaming, it is getting to much air/oxygen, it should always be a straigth forward thin burn, i have ordered one, and hope it works as it should, greets, Levi in sweden

Hi I wouldn't recommend it because it could be expensive.. As this lighter uses a lot of gas, etc. But it would turn charcoal white, i guess.

How do you “overfill” it? 😂 Answer. You CANT! It's a small pressurized tank that will only take the set amount of butane.

@savage6394 Ask anyone who KNOWS what they're talking about. Or, hey, I know! Why don't you READ the instructions which state NOT to OVERFILL, or you can damage the chamber. Go to any cigar shop and ask what can happen when you overfill a butane lighter.

Just saw an ad. This is being marketed as an arc lighter. Electrical, rechargable. The ad said nothing about gas. Thanks for talking in this. Saw another review that just had crappy music and a ruler. I saw how big it is in centimeters.

Ok, thanks. I see I wasn't aware of that, etc. No, it's definitely GAS and NOT arc. However, all I can say about this product is that after 3 years, "it still works," and I like it.. However, other people have had problems, so it's all personal experience, I suppose. I also did other lighter reviews, etc. Cheers👍👍

I'm a store owner. This lighter is NOT an electric lighter at all. Because I sold exactly same lighters many years ago. This lighter is out of fashion. Tesla coil bla bla is bull s*it.
