I was sure AP would win the Triple Crown, but I think Mendelssohn will lower Justify's colours if he runs in the Kentucky Derby

mendelssohn never matured from 2 to 3. neither did bolt doro. call it what you want great 2 year olds rarely make great 3 year olds...

Mike is a quality act and one of the best jockeys, and Baffert is one of, if not the best trainer going now, but with that said, the shoes been on the other foot numerous times. I just think Bolt d'Oro's trainer handled it with a little more class. I think it was the right call.

He won the Crown and Easy Goer did not...But i see the comparison he was trying to make...But Justify was never close to Easy Goers level in Talent and ability at any Distance..

If Justify and McKinzie both run in the Santa Anita Derby, then Mike Smith will have a tough choice to make.

+Bill Armstrong Yes he will. Mike gets all the top stock don't he? Easy Goer didn't win the Derby Mike or Preakness he won the Belmont. Bolt d"Oro is still at the top of my list but I have to agree with Mike the DQ of McKenzie was ? the connections of Bolt d'Oro said he was only at 80%? I don't know how legit that is? he's lost 2 races in a row now on the track. in the BC Juv Colts he was wide throughout and finished 3rd. this past Saturday at Santa Anita he saved all the ground then on the far turn went to the outside went in front of McKenzie turning into the stretch only to have the latter come back on him in the inside and pimple him at the wire. I feel the Bolt Monster has the talent to achieve greatness that being capturing the roses in Louisville and possible Triple Crown threat. to accomplish all this he is going to have to step up his game.it's now time for him to separate himself. I definitely feel he has all the talent to get the job done. peddle to the metal time now Bolt Monster. that's my name for him now it's time to live up to the billing! +kitsune da O No doubt if Justify runs in the Ky Derby Mike Smith will be riding him. we possibly have 2 Monsters on our hands. Bolt d'Oro and Justify. I'm on record predicting that if Bolt Monster is 100% he's Winning the Ky Derby and I've also predicted he will go on 2 capture the Triple Crown. his connections said he was only 80% when he ran in the San Felipe. finished 2nd but got put up on the DQ BC Juv Colts race last November he was wide throughout and finished 3rd. I believe he's much better then that unlimited talent. now he has 2 step it up. he's My #1 Rated Horse My #2 Horse is Justify. if Bolt Monster is not at 100% 4 the Derby or don't run then I will go with my #2 Rated Horse Justify 2 snap the Apollo curse. if both go then I have no doubts the Winner and the Exacta are coming out of California. all the rest will be running 4 the minor awards. how about Bob Baffert betting Justify in the future book at 300-1 odds! way 2 go Bob didn't even let me know way 2 hide it!

+The Red Baron Lives After the Santa Anita Derby my top 2 have changed I have Justify at #1 Bolt d'Oro at #2. i'll nix the win bet and make a large exacta bet with these 2. i'll box it just to cover myself. but clearly Justify is at the #1 rating and will be a deservingly KY Derby favorite. this looks to me like 1978 Affirmed vs Alydar.

LVCrocky really? affirmed and Alydar are all time greats.....the sport of kings should be lucky. Mendelssohn looked incredible in dubia winning by 12. Justify has 1 helluva a hurdle to overcome not since Apollo has a KD winner not run at 2. Still Mike Smith looks like he knows he has something special under him.well see may 5th!
