Sorry but I have to disagree. MTV barely played any black artists music videos in the 80s. Basically Michael Jackson, Prince and Tina Turner is what you got on the singing front. Jody's videos were mostly played on BET(not MTV).

I was so Happy when she went solo. We lacked a star of her caliper. Jody is True American Royalty. LEGENDARY. Her new sound remains RELEVANTLY EVOLVED!!!!! ( 2020)
