I’ve been playing for 38 years and can confidently say he’s the best blues guitarist on the planet right now. He learned from the best. Not a lot of people know he played with BB king when he was just a kid. Who knew what kin of monster guitar player he would become.

The great Reese Wynans stole the show in this one! I got tickled when I noticed he was sitting in an office chair on casters, swiveling back and forth between the piano and organ! 😁 I love that Joe lets his band shine, he has some fantastic musicians. Anton Fig on drums, Michael Rhodes on bass… and the backup singers are wonderful too!

Bonamassa's great, and a great version of the song. I always associate this song with Jeff Beck. Beck's studio version (probably live in the studio) came out in 71 or 72, the album with the oranges on the cover, and it literally used to make me laugh out loud that anyone could be that audacious on an electric guitar. Maybe that won't translate to 2022, but you should give it a listen some time, keep in mind it was 1971.

The Jeff Beck studio version, especially in the context of 1970 or 1971, is the definitive version. This Bonamassa version is nice but we heard it all before. When Beck's version came out we were hearing a lot of this for the first time. The ignorance of the hosts is grating.

Joe grew up listening to the great blues artists. He is a blues guitarist (and one of the best of a generation which included Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jeff Healey and others). His little friends all wanted him to listen to rock/pop, etc., but, for some reason, Joe, from childhood on, just FELT the blues. He's great -- even though there evidently aren't that many blues fans today.

Joe is a very talented musician and his base is the blues but he has stepped it up and gone into some very dynamic crossovers. Someone mentioned Mountain Time live from The Royal Albert Hall, but you can find it in an acoustic version live in Vienna. Check out his recent songs as well as his early stuff and when he crossed into a ventures with Black Country Communion some real dynamics with that group you can see his influence. Two songs that come to mind : "Song of Yesterday" and "The Battle For Hadrian's Wall -l live". Some of his other interesting work include off his Royal Tea album "When One Door Opens."

Yes, he is still touring. Go see him b4 he gets old. I saw him last year in Virginia Beach and he did not disappoint. Fantastic reaction, TY. BTW, that other guitarist is Curt Fletcher. Just finished watching your KZfaq episode of Joe bonamassa doing the song I'm going down, I've seen Joe bonamassa three times and every time I've gone I can't believe what I witnessed he is the most incredible guitar player I've ever seen ice, and I've seen some great ones including Stevie Ray Vaughan and Stevie Ray Vaughan is unbelievable also but you need to go and check out one of his concert and I guarantee you you'll walk out of there saying to yourself what did I just witness, Joe bonamassa is freaking amazing and his band is unbelievable so tight, and the keyboard player the older gentleman playing the keyboards used to be the keyboard player for Stevie Ray Vaughan, enjoy the music of Joe bonamassa you'll never be more amazed at what this man can do with it guitar

One thing about Joe is he’s an independent artist, owns his music, his production, studio and management, it’s all Joe

I'm Joe's fan and I was curious to watch your video. I have to say that I loved this reaction, you guys don't talk all the time during the video, no excesses, just sit back and enjoy the music like normal people do. Keep it up.

Awesome show! "Live at the Greek" is ALL good. Great band. Man on the keys is the great Reece Wynans. Played with another great guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughn. JB is definitely one of the all time greats who played with another all time great, BB King, at the age of 12!
