Absolutely the best version of this song I' ve ever heard! High energy, raw and rocking! Th ey just killed it...and then Anton's drum solo sealed the deal. It just doesn't t get any better. The whole show was spectacular, what a great band. All of you JB critics can kiss my ass...he brings it in spades.

An absolute MONSTER of a song! Jimmy went nuts on this! Joe is awesome here, the whole band does great honour to such a HUGE song! Without doubt the most hypnotic riff, (honouring smokestack lightning) ever! Drive late night in your car, young and ready to fight the world, out in the middle of nowhere, and you play this, LOUD!

Saw Zep do this live in high school in '73 at the big new arena in my hometown of Tucson, Az. Sold out show.....but I thought Zep was stiff as hell and just not into it. My boy Joe here just kills this one....as well as every one of the masters playing on this. Guaranteed this smokes the orig. Zep....at least the nite I saw them. Hate to say it but it's damn sure true. God Bless America jbeinarizona

I agree!!! It's not about better. It's about defining your signature sound, and NO ONE can deny Page's place in rock history. Led Zeppelin has sold more than 300 million records and still counting. Joe's rendition is about paying tribute to a man who has inspired millions of guitarists around the world. Joe is great, no question, yet Jimmy forces him to play his fricking ass off--because if you're going to cover Jimmy Page, you BETTER kill it--or just go home! It's one thing to cover someone's tune verbatim--it's another thing entirely to have such an instantly recognizable sound that is purely yours. Jimmy and the band broke new ground in 1968 and their legacy is forever. As is Mr. Bonamassa's. A great performance for sure!!!

Anton definitely isn't going to win any "SPEED" or "TOP 5 MOST CREATIVE SOLO" contests with this one, and I find drummers that make faces and/or "act" while doing their thing to be "OVERSELLING". I know I sound negative, but just giving my .02 on a public post board....nothing more.
