In the guitar world, Joe is considered one of the greatest. He is a guitar prodigy, he started playing at the age of four and was opening for BB King at age twelve. Joe is completely an independent artist and I believe that is why most people haven't heard of him .

Joe is also a terrific singer and, arguably, the greatest living electric blues/rock guitar player. His collaborations with Beth Hart are stunningly good.

Joe's popularity/ notoriety is limited to people who seek out great players, because he is not signed to a big-lable. He produces his music and has control of all aspects including live concerts with 2 longtime industry producers who now work with Joe independent from reliance on major labels. His band and backing singers are legendary amongst other great players. His usual format is Blues. Woke Up Dreamin' is a display of his virtuosity. Give a listen to any, they all have something great.30 yrs., 17 #1 albums an the Blues/Jazz charts, maybe more by now.

After Prince died Joe may occupy the #1 spot for best guitarist alive. Other modern guitarists most people don’t know: Eric Sardinas, Johnny Lang, Mato Naji, Walter trout.

Just for the record, Joe is heavily influenced by Rory Gallagher. Rory is one of Joe's all time favorite. In fact he's recorded a few of his songs.If you wanna see more of Joe and hear one of the best singers on the face of the earth, then play the song I(I'd Rather Go Blind) by Joe Bonamassa and Beth hart. Titled Beth and Joe Live in Amsterdam. You with be blown away by the musicianship on that stage during that show. TRUST ME, it will be life changing and you will immediately be a Beth fan.TY and enjoy
