It’s not shocking at all. Stephen A is just an employee. No matter how popular he becomes he is still an employee. Pat Mcafee owns his show and that show is profitable whether it is on ESPN or not. Mcafee walked in the door with more leverage. Hence why Stephen A is branching out now trying to build something outside ESPN

Let's keep it real Stephen A has black culture leverage like Shannon has black culture leverage which is why he can pull comedians, athletes, actors. Which is why when Shannon left skip he blew up more off a Katt Willams interview. All these BLACK athletes linking up with other BLACK entertainment while going independent hurts the WHITE establishment. Pat whiteness brings in white people, but you will never see Pat in other spaces outside sports how Shannon can sit with people in other black spaces we want to watch. Stephen A also has that leverage. They fuck around with Stephen A ESPN going to end up like skip.
