Yeah…. This actually makes a lot more sense. Shift the pro bowl to week 10. Play flag football and the QB challenges and other stuff that’s not gonna cause injuries, then week 11-19, playoffs, and fuck it, give the AFC and NFC champions another week off (or don’t). That’s better for them than how it is now. No one watches the probowl anyway.

It's incredible that football is the hardest sport on your body to play, yet you barely get any time off compared to MLB and NBA. They want to keep increasing the number of games but aren't thinking of ways to give the players time to rest.

How much did revenue increase when they added that last game. NFL players play the least mount of games of any team contact sport, with the best recovery facilities and outside of the RB and tightends the least amount of high impact collisons per players. To have a QB who takes up some much of his teams salary say its a big ask, when it gives the rest of time more earning opportunity is crazy.

Nah, 18 games is nothing compared to basketball with 81 rsg + 7 game playoff series and 162 rsg + 7 game postseason series for mlb. People will say, nfl is very physical but basketball also is and it's more tiring cause you go up and down the court for 48 mins, while there's mostly slow phasing or flow in the nfl aside from 2 minute drill scenarios for teams to win or tie the game in the 4q. Mf, NFL should at least be 24 games so we'll have 7 months regular season including 4 bye weeks which will per 6 games. Then a month of playoffs. It should be made illegal to make the offseason longer than the season.

....how come a NHL player can take a 100mph slap shot to the mouth, spit out his teeth and get stitched up and miss maybe 3 shifts. A NHL player played the entire playoffs with a torn ACL. Another one played with a punctured lung, broken ribs and a seperated shoulder. Another one with a broken foot. These guys play hard numerous times a week. NFL players play once a week, got a sprained finger and you sit out. Toughen up boys
