I am no expert but I agree with Ray Charles. Ray's the best dark blues singer and Joe is the best white blues singer. R.P.I. Two greats.

An old BASF commercial: We don't make the products you buy, we make them better. Same could for Joe Cocker with songs. Met him and his band at the United "Red Carpet" Club in Denver years ago.

Been a life long fan of this song, no matter who performed it: Dave Mason, Traffic, Three Dog Night, Grand Funk Railroad and whoever else. I would listen to Joe do this number anytime!

Not a patch on the Mad Dogs & Englishmen version, but happy-making all the same. Was there anybody who ever expressed the pure unrestrained exuberance of rock and roll better than our Joe? Loved the way he moved on stage as much as James Brown - maybe more.

Ron Kopp. I actually think this is way better without all the mad dog circus. Joe and the Grease Band are straight out rocking it here.

Stone The Crow opened, then Mountain, then 18 people on stage and a yellow lab. Went from 8:30 to 1:30 and the reefer smoke was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Best show I've ever seen.

Em 1969 ele foi o astro convidado do programa The Ed Sullivan Show. With a Little Help from My Friends. Coker ainda conseguiu mais alguns hits com "She Came Through the Bathroom Window" (outra versão de uma música dos Beatles), "Cry Me a River" e "Feelin Alright". Ele conseguiu, entretanto, se livrar e retornar nos anos 80, conseguindo grande sucesso até os anos 90 com as canções "Up Where We Belong", "You Are So Beautiful", "When The Night Comes" e "Unchain My Heart", tema da novela brasileira Sassaricando.
