You can use the crowd as a “stankometer” the louder the crowd, the stankier the solo
@marciamakesmusic2 жыл бұрын
Not really tbh. Bad crowds just react anytime you get louder. I've heard people go wild over terrible solos cause it's just a trumpet player playing something really high, meanwhile other people play very melodic and beautiful solos and no one blinks. We need to teach people to listen as much as we teach them to play.

@@marciamakesmusic If people like it, it's a good solo. I don't think there is any need to go around judging every solo based around on some arbitrary standard of good.

Dear Mr. (or potentially Mrs. or whatever you may use) Aredtyg, Respectfully, I have no idea what you're trying to get at. I mean, I understand the meaning of the word "versatile" but not at all how it plays into my reply to your comment. Of course, I should mention I know very little about the bass guitar, but still, I do not understand how my comment, that was telling someone that a volume knob probably controls volume, came to be under your supposed critism. I would greatly appreciate an elaboration from you soon, Mr. Aredtyg, and until then, I bid you the best. Sincerely, Some kid

About the: "not sure how he played a D but it was definetely played" There's a way to play lower notes as sub harmonics. Just play the note you want and a fifth above in the low E string. He probably played the D on 10th fret on E string and the fifth (A at 12th fret 3rd string). And you have to play it using the "face" of your finger, not using the tip of the finger. That technique creates a sub harmonic sound! It's not hard to do it!
