im so happy for him and to be able to see him succeeding on espn. as a life long cavs fan i never saw anyone on the bench bring so much livelihood to a team and their personality. RJ and Frye really brought all the guys together with their friendship and charismatic personalities and made it infectious throughout the team. great person and one of the few athletes where their game didn’t do a whole ton for the team but everything else about them did, which made me continue to follow the man after his time in Cleveland

Well the pistons are full of gs and ws so I'll give you that but then your looking at langston galloway who is one the teams best shooters, Cause there certainly not keeping wood over Kennard, svi,khyri,bb jr,morris,doomboyyahhh,morrris, so that basically leaves wood, Johnson, maker, Galloway 4 fighting for 3. Well they traded for maker so he's safe and Galloway is the teams third best shooter being kennard and Blake so you tell me. Whose the odd guy out?
@squadup22

IDK but they are really weak at the wing positions. The starters, bench, a lot of unproven guys and just ok players. Joe should help them out tremendously, think that’s why he chose DET. That and I know Casey is a fan of Joes game. So in my opinion, he’s not really fighting for a position. Joe will be on the team and utilized accordingly.

Yes Joe does. He didn't have a NBA job for a reason. Cause nobody needs iso Joe from the big 3. That's just Carmel Anthony all over again. He has to prove number 1 he has the motor for a 82 game season and playoff not just 8 games of half court 3 on 3. He has to prove he can co exist in a thier offense and play defense. Everybody has to prove themselves he's not a legend that has plenty of game left. He was barley a star. Half his career he was a good role player and half almost a star. He's older so before he gets a check he has to prove himself.

Leland Joseph well boxscore means wins or losses. And guys who don’t have elite athleticism like Steph Kawhi Klay and Luka are all extremely popular. So obviously your wrong. Kids care about wins and losses. Athleticism means nothing. Zach Lavine Aaron Gordon Ben McClemore Diallo and Ferguson are all great athletes but don’t matter. Jokic Steph Kawhi Klay Kemba Kyrie D Book KAT Gobert Beal Dame KD and Harden are all great players who aren’t freak athletes. The most athletic players in the league that are stars are like Russ Lebron and Giannis that’s really it. Majority of the nba stars rn aren’t freak athletes. It’s about wins and losses not Athleticism or post game or anything else. If you win you get more attention you get more revenue too. Wins and losses are the most important things.

Man please the old guys love to stick up for each other. I'm true blue pistons and I know this was another bad signing. Before his hiatus, retirement, or whatever you want to call it. Joe looked like he could barely move out there. Then he goes on to play in the old man big 3 league and suddenly he becomes NBA caliber again? Then we stupidly cut a 30 year old scorer in Michael Beasley to add a nearly 40 year old who bottom line can't effectively play in the league anymore. This is why the Pistons are always Mediocre.

@Jason Slow your role junior. Melo already had two seperate chances in OKC and Houston to prove he wasn't a cancer in the locker room and he blew that. Not to mention the fact that everyone looks good in practice but he absolutely can't play in the league which we also saw in Houston. For years he has had the choice(and still does) to go to the Big3 or sign for a minimum and revive his career by showing he has matured. He didn't do either of those things because he is all talk and no one is buying his bs. You want to know how someone is genuine when saying those things? Dwight Howard of all people is doing what Melo never did and signed for a minimum as a backup at best and proving himself not only in front of the camera but impressing his veteran team mates by stepping up every practice and understanding his role in the organization. Something that Melo never has or never will do.

@Jason off the bench he averaged 13 4 and 2.5 that's solid...nobody saying he the same all star but that off the bench in the playoffs at 36-37 shows he still can contribute
