This is no fluke. Zhang has serious power in both hands. At one point a few years ago, he had SIX consecutive 1st round KOs in a span of a year and a half. Serious slugger who is patient and moves well for his size.

I've been watching zhang for a while and i don't know whether it's world politics or something else but this guy is the most underrated boxer in the division. He is an absolute work horse and a respectful one at that. He doesn't do the bling, the show biz or the mouthing off. He is a boxer that has earned and deserves, to be where he is! Max respect!! Honestly, it was a miracle how he got through Daniel Dubois and Parker from his style of fighting. In fact, I was shocked how he beat those guys because he took too many punches but when I noticed he had a strong chin, I presumed that was his advantage. However, Zhilei Zhang the Chinese man has taken that strong chin away from him now. I wish him well though in the next phase of his career.

A Fury vs Zhang fight for the belt will be much more fun than a Uzyk vs Fury fight cos Zhang and Fury will just be SAVAGE!!

Why did Joyce switch to Southpaw? Maybe that’s why he lost? On the other hand, I never knew that Zhang would be such a good switch hitter.

Why is the video flipped?

No one has commented that the film is being shown filmed from the back of the screen, in other words it is a mirror image and Joe is the southpaw and Zhang is orthodox.

As a Samoan myself, Parker will face a tough challenge against Zhang and might not pass through. But Zhang's true test awaits with Usyk. Both are impressive left-handers, showcasing remarkable speed, agility, and stamina. They're the real deal.

Joe never looked like winning this, he looked uncomfortable from the start, while Zhang was in full control all the way. Much as I like the guy, Joe is lacking in hand speed, reflexes, ring IQ, and is generally too one-dimensional at this level. The simple juggernaut formula has brought him a long way but this was sadly inevitable at some point before he reached the top. Good performance from Zhang, he got the measure of Joe early on and could probably have got him out even sooner, but at the end of the day he is still the same Zhang who was beaten by Hirgovic not so long ago and I can't see him beating Fury, Usyk or Wilder. Joshua would be an interesting fight though. I'm glad I was unable to buy on PPV and decided against upgrading my Sky package to include TNT Sports, just for this.

why Joyce used that type of guard? certainly defies logic, he should have known he was going to get banged with that type of defence, strange really, Zhang used his head from the start, and read Joyce like a book, but looking at Zhang, he's no threat whatsoever for fury, coming to think of it, no current heavyweight is.

Not taking away from the win as that was a cracking shot, but joyce looked spent from the off. I love his heart, but i really wish he would retire and let his head rest because he is a great sportsman and doesnt deserve any more punishment.

Joe was just Joe, but even slower because of the extra weight, that was predictable from that first bell. Even had that gone to the latter rounds I think Zhang would still have done, he had total control from the centre of the ring.

What a dramatic, clean, & emphatic knockout by Zhang; Zhang's signature weapon seems his swift, short, & stabbing powerful punches coming from both sides or his incessant blows from either L straight or R hook. On the other hand, Joyce is not by all means a mediocre boxer at all but a formidable one. In this fight, however, he surely looked as though an incompetent, & mediocre opponent as if this was a mismatch. This is the end of Joyce's boxing career. Everyone should know that Joe Joyce couldn't become a world champion with his boxing style. He is too slow and doesn't have head movement, he gets hit very easily. AJ, Fury or Wilder would have done same to him, even Andy Ruiz Jr would beat him. He was WBO mandatory challenger for around 2 years having beaten some top boxers in his division. He failed to fight for his right by challenging Usyk for his WBO belt, rather he became so arrogant and continued to fight boxers that didn't have belts, but he messed with the wrong opponent this time. Zhang would beat him 20 times. Zhang that couldn't beat Jerry Forrest, and Jared Anderson blasted Jerry Forrest in 2 rounds.
