You have a good heart still wanting the best for your ex. The loneliness and longing for that acceptance and love does run it's toll. When I start comparing my life to someone else, and the desires I want (Family) I find comfort in the reminder that everything is in God's hands, He knows what He is doing and knows what I am going through. If it is His will, He would change it, if not I still have the best thing I could ever want, Jesus. I hope all the best for you and you keep your joy in all circumstances. You're good enough just by being you! :)

It's always hard. It almost feels like you're being punished for being a Christian, and he gains all of that attention, but consider as the psalmist did "but then I understood their end" in psalm 73 (go read this, it will help you). He knew their way was folly, for their life burned like a single hair in the fire, when we will last forever in Jesus! Remember yuor treasure is not here on earth, but in the heavenly storehouses, and mansions made for us to enjoy, and that we can even earn more rewards here on earth! God's ways always bring about some death in us, that we may bring life in others, as He did in Jesus. Die to yourself, and fruit is guaranteed to come forth, and bless others. John 12:24-26 "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor." Honor from Jesus is all that you should seek. Be warned! It was the pharisees' jealousy for Jesus over the adoration of Him, rather than themselves that drove them to want to murder Him! If we want earthly attention, we too will want nothing to do with the Son of God in our lives, for they matter more to us, than Him, and will stop at nothing to get rid of that nagging Voice that tells us we are doing evil. Acceptance before men is nothing before the acceptance of God. Seek His face, and He shall give all understanding on this. He is all loving, and cares for you as you are right now, ypu have no need to be better (though there is a striving against sin, and that is another matter) God's love is irrespective of whether or not we are good, because He loves us anyways. We are forever going to be loved, no matter what. Our destination in the afterlife may change, but His love for us never will. He loves everyone, even those who He sends to hell. Very aristocrat, a man of letters, w/ a prestigious family name, and he gave it all up to try and save Germany and possibly the rest of the world. Competing against yourself...as in...striving to be better. Looking to God & what He wants for you and not to others as your measuring goal. A good way to live. As long as God is pleased with you & you are content with His plans for you...I think this helps keep envy & jealousy at bay.

It's the old adage: "Every dog has its day." It's so true, time waits nor stops for anyone. You had your time, good times, bad times, it's all part of life. My life was protected by the armor of the Father, He had my back my entire life, saving me from myself. Now in the late 4th quarter in the game of my life I can see clearly now thanks to the unveiling by my Master.

Wow your testimony..this sermon has blown me away..I wrote my testimony about 6 yrs ago And it was about the leper in Matt .after the time of crying my heart out everytime I read it...and the couple of people who said I should be telling other people and was offered a place on a radio station to do so..but didn't But something changed I felt terribly alone in my walk and I felt my heart getting hard towards some church members and I thought if I can just read my testimony in front of them they will pick up how I felt they hurt me..I used to cry so much when I read it and then it changed..I found myself not crying but pretending I was in front of these people and I could see their faces and there was no emotion..I done nothing but kept thinking about doing this. Then one day I got this message in my heart. Why do you want to do this...and instantly knew my ABBA YAH was reading my heart....the deviation I felt..knowing my creator read my feelings..I sort of knew it But would never admit it I was jealous of the report they all had for when I left the church I was on the end of their boot because of my disagreement on a doctrine ..and I have been kept at arm's length for years... My lonlyness developed into jealously..my Father Pointed it out ...still haven't ready testimony....but I learnt a BIG lesson...
