i just felt a sense of deja vu in the critical moments of the 4th quarter. Joe calls a time out and once again sets up the predictable play: get the ball to Tatum to go against 2 defenders and do his hero ball thing. (Tatum who in 39 minutes had only 22 points, shot 9-24 (fg) and 1-8 3pts.) Why not call a play for a 2 man game between KP and DW...your 2 bright spots in the game? Frankly, Joe once again you were outcoached in the critical moments of a game. You refuse to use a "change up" as you called it when KP was acquired KP was repeatedly at the foul line...so why stop going to him in the post. Attack the paint Joe!

I find it hilarious fans say JT is the best player in the league. Hes all NBA. BUT yet he can't make a shot or play for his team and thats Joe's fault. Malone would give it to Joker or Murray. Bucks Giannis or Dame. Mavs Luka or Kyrie. Spo Jimmy B .Lakers, LeBron, Everyone knows they're getting the ball. The difference they make plays. Lol, its been that way forever. Lets just face the facts that JT is a failure at it. Having the ball at the end doesn't always mean you have to shoot. That seems kinda selfish n hero ball. 😂

Go back to the last play. He wasn’t doubled, you’re imagining that part. He has KCP 1 on 1. I’ll take that vs Porzingis with Jokic on him. KCP is a really good defender - all the Nuggets are. Tatum could have worked for a better shot but him in isolation against a smaller defender is about as high a high percentage shot as it gets.

This fan base is hilarious, man. I was pretty sad about this loss, for a number of reasons, but reading all these 'the celtics are terrible' and 'fire joe, they cant win with him' comments? You remind me how good they actually are, and more importantly, how not to react to sports. Blessings on all, take care.

The Celtics aren't terrible. They just aren't elite. They are very, very good, just not legitimate contenders. Joe is fine as far as i can see. Boston is probably the 2nd best in the east and maybe the 4th or 5th best overall. Great regular season team but nothing more

@@Mitch_Feral yes, the top 3 in the west are all better, and have all beaten Boston and all caused them to fall apart in the 4th (which just happened again tonight), and unlike Boston, Milwaukee has an actually clutch player. They have their weaknesses, but the core has won and knows how to win together just with 1 new piece. Boston's core only knows under achieving and embarrassing themselves in the playoffs, but they added one piece that knows how to win, but clearly isn't having the effect in big games we would've hoped from a leadership standpoint. Very good regular season team, but nothing more from what they have shown us so far this year

These reporters are so scary to ask Mazzulla the real questions. How about asking him in late game situations is there any thought to draw up a play for someone other than Tatum since it seems to be so predictable that Tatum will get the ball and the fact is Tatum rarely ever hits a game winning shot.
@subliminakeys1674
@subliminakeys1674 5 ай бұрын
Tatum almost always makes the right play there. He has kicked it out to open shooters so many times to seal games for us. He also is the only player who draws double teams to get those open shooters. I guess he should just stand in the corner and let the defense leave him open cause we won't pass him the ball per your coaching.

You know what I think is coaching had something to do with the loss and it started at the beginning of the second half! Those threes weren’t working, you take a time out and you tell your guys to do something different because they’re not working! But your threes weren’t hitting and you got multiple shots many times you do something different, you’re as much to blame for the loss of the players😮

@@KSizbored4life the top 3 in the West (Wolves, Thunder, Nuggets) are all better than Boston. And you could argue Milwaukee is better in the playoffs due to experience winning and having a certified clutch closer so their 4th quarters are almost always better than the previous ones. Boston has a great roster, and a very good team, but it falls apart consistently against good teams down the stretch. They can't be trusted like the other 4 teams i mentioned. You could argue they are better than Milwaukee now, and that's fair, but i think when the playoffs hit that won't be true anymore.

We saw the difference between a champion and a second round, maybe ECF runner-up. Celtics need to play smarter. Physically gifted but too many dumb, low percentage shots when they show they can get to the rim when they want & where r the free throws??? Of course, pls don’t put Jaylen on the line if u really need a free throw. Celtics have a very good record. They have a good team. But championship level, not at this stage of the season. Denver showed them what it takes and I know it was close, but bad decisions and shots down the stretch is a repeating theme with Mazzula’s guys.

I love Tatum, don’t get me wrong, but they give him the ball for the last shot pretty much every time, and this multiple first team All-NBA player has maybe made 1 shot. He pretty much missed them all, and many times they aren’t even good shots. Jaylen Brown, our other All-NBA player tends to either disappear or choke as he did in last years playoffs down the stretch. They r both good, but I think overrated. Maybe Tatum is a 2nd or 3rd team player. Brown, sorry, there r other players who r better.
