Never met the guy Personally, but my younger brother Mark did. In a South London Pub many Moons ago , and remarked what a Proper Geezer and Gentleman to meet. From the Mickey mousers ( Scousers ) as they call us down Sarth............................... R.I.P. Joey Pyle ;(

I can never make up my mind about Courtney he comes across as a clown and ive read people like Fraser, Bernard O,Mahoney and Gaffer saying that he's a phoney and even a grass but then I see him with people like Joey Pyle Freddie Foreman etc. People who are more respected than any of his detractors so it seems yes he is a showman making money from the fact he knows lots of faces but no he's not a grass and many of his critics are accused of the same thing i don't imagine any old school villain begrudgeing any one earning a nice few quid without putting themselves or any one else on offer
