@@kyle88ss the problem wasn’t that he was losing. The problem was that he was getting bad knock out losses that would- if he continued, have done some damage.

People say Schaub knocked out Cro Cop at the end of his career. That was in 2011. Since 2013, Cro Cop had won 10 fights straight until his retirement in 2019. Yes, you could argue Cro Cop wasn't in his prime but he is still one of the greatest TODAY.

True but people like cro cop who fought in pride like that took way more damage than people fighting in the UFC, fighting multiple people in 1 night was a regular thing in pride.

At the time cro cop was in a slump but then had a revival, after winning the k-1 championship, I believe.

the good thing about cro cop was the way he was able to change his style up he started doing alot more dirty boxing. His knees were done by like 07 08 or so after all the surgeries speed and reflexes were gone. Last fight he looked remotely like his old self was the kongo fight till he got his sack rearranged with some hard knees.

yeah but everybody thinks that randleman faked the takedown and than threw a hook...but he didnt, there was no level change. randleman waited for crocop to throw a kick or to faint a kick, crocop lowers his hands when he faints a kick so randleman waited for that moment. you can see it in slowmo replay

@@RainDelay you can tell it’s true though. He avoids talking about Schaubs fighting or wins. He quickly brushed off Schaubs comment here and immediately went back to talking about Cro cop. It’s like Joe wants to hear himself talk about his own mma expertise yet he’s got a guy (Schaub) right in front of him who has actually done it on a professional level. I don’t think Joe respects him

I'll give credit where credits due. Schaub timed the punch perfectly just when Cro Cop was raising his leg. Otherwise it was just lucky timing. Cro Cop was in bad form during his stint at the UFC tho. I think he lost that psychological edge during that period, just didn't seem like himself. He was an absolute force to reckon with in Pride and K1. He'll always be in my top 10 list of MMA fighters regardless

iirc cro cop had a bunch of surgeries after Pride died, hence why he kicked less and less in the UFC.

@@hoosler6876Not to make excuses but Mirko had lots of injuries and yes he didn't kick much in the UFC because of it. Mirko in K1 and Pride... He was a beast... He's one of my favs 4 sure. Too bad we never got to see Cro Cop vs Fedor 2.

I’m his prime Cro Cop would have destroyed them all. No one will dispute that. So many pride fighters when they were in there primes were on a whole different level. Then years later came to the UFC and weren’t the same.

I dont like Schaub either, but you can't take nothing away from his mma skills. Beat Matt Mittrione, beat Cro Cop, fought Arlovski to a split decision. He's super goofy and for sure not the most technical fighter but in most smaller organizations he would've been the champion during his time

GADOOSHing Cro Cop was the worst thing to happen to Schuab. He was a very physically capable journeyman, but he had negative fight IQ and that win lead to him biting off way more CTE than he could chew.
