1992 or 1991 Pakistan was bringing all OIC countries together to counter India and put sanctions on India over Kashmir issue. PV narsimha Rao sent a diplomat to Iran asking Iran to use their veto (in oic) against Pakistan so that they don’t get together at UN against India. Iran used its veto and saved us from what might be an very disastrous sanction due to economic crisis we were facing. In 2020 or 21 or 22 usa was putting more sanction on Iran and was bringing a resolution in the UN asking countries to put sanctions against Iran. Iran reminded india of its 1992 incident and asked not to vote in favour of that resolution but India abstained. (Source : trust me bro)

I disagree. If Russia profits India’s economy then Russia is a friend, but if india cannot profit from Russia then there’s no friendship.

During World War II, the US gave Britain 50 war ships for free simply for the promise that they give India their independence after war, and there’s nothing wrong with supporting Russia, but the US has been much more consequential to India than Russia
