There is a huge difference between agreeing to stay healthy and agreeing to not get fat. Age can do terrible things, even for people who take care of themselves their whole lives. It really is a petty, short-sighted qualifier to put on a relationship.
@GoreChick5 жыл бұрын
yeah, but... sounds like he's going to leave his wife if she stops working out. surely, a relationship should be based on more than looks...
@BigUriel4 жыл бұрын
@@blaynegreiner9365 It's no more petty than only staying together if the partner can continue to provide for the family, or perform sexually, or pay them enough attention, or have kids, or just share common interests... Everyone has their own priorities in what they expect from a relationship. Wanting to be with someone who is sexually attractive is no more or less petty than anything else, ultimately no one owes anyone to be with someone they don't want. And ultimately while most healthy long term relationships are based on more than just looks, anyone who says it's not a factor is lying. All else being equal being with someone who looks good is always better.

When you really like a girl you want to make yourself look as attractive to that girl as possible, which usually entails a certain degree of physical attraction. When people finally get in that relationship and stay in it for long amount of time they get too comfortable and dont care about how they look because they already have the girl they were after. I agree that it is important to stay healthy physically in a relationship, but I dont think if you start to gain weight that you should just leave but rather hold each other accountable.

1:33. My Grandfather was one of the healthiest person I knew in my life. He was very active. Played tennis, softball, fished up and down rivers in his canoe. Grew his own vegetables. Then one day playing tennis at 64 he had a massive heart attach and died on the court. Death comes for you. Regardless how healthy you are. I agree it reduces so many complications and issues while getting old. Just eating and living healthy doesn't guarantee a long and happy life after you retire.

It's an even weirder insult when you think about it historically. In the past, when getting enough calories could be a challenge, being fat was a sign of wealth and/or power. So nowadays it's like a complinsult.

Neglecting your body of proper nutrition and exercise is not loving yourself. Folks just say that shit as an excuse to be lazy😴anything to not go to the gym
@yowo1235 жыл бұрын
Calling someone fat is a surface-level insult that no stable person should be offended by. Insulting someone because of the way they look, whether it be body type, race, etc means that you don't know enough about a person to *really* hurt them and you're just blindly flailing, trying to touch a nerve. I get the feeling that the people who cry about "body-shaming" are as soft as their bellies.
@sicknificantfgc76334 жыл бұрын
I lost 60 lbs in about 4 months on Keto. I'm 6 ft, started at 255. Got below 200. Hit the gym. After a few days I just felt so weak lifting. I started introducing carbs back into my diet the nights before my morning workouts, and drinking some pre-workout in the morning prior and noticed my strength/endurance improve a lot. I would say for anyone not "pushing" their bodies, and that doesn't have some other preexisting issue regarding your bodies ability to handle fat, Keto is amazing. I felt great on it and full of energy for routine activity. I could even easily fast and skip meals if needed or wanted bc I was never feeling like I was starving. My body was using the fat reserves. Again tho, if you start doing any kind of activity that has high exertion, I feel the glucose comes in handy for sure.

Borderline starved myself and kept nonstop active, became in good shape for next year, sure as shit school starts. Im no longer the chode I become popular with the ladies get invited to parties no bullying. Moral of the story, people are shallow as fuck
