I mean... You could possibly make an argument for that. Maybe there's something programmed into our genetics to overeat when we have a mass of food, because we could go days before we'd eat again. Or because if we don't eat it quickly, something else might come along and take it. Just a thought.

There is a huge difference between agreeing to stay healthy and agreeing to not get fat. Age can do terrible things, even for people who take care of themselves their whole lives. It really is a petty, short-sighted qualifier to put on a relationship.
@GoreChick
@GoreChick 5 жыл бұрын
yeah, but... sounds like he's going to leave his wife if she stops working out. surely, a relationship should be based on more than looks...
@BigUriel
@BigUriel 4 жыл бұрын
@@blaynegreiner9365 It's no more petty than only staying together if the partner can continue to provide for the family, or perform sexually, or pay them enough attention, or have kids, or just share common interests... Everyone has their own priorities in what they expect from a relationship. Wanting to be with someone who is sexually attractive is no more or less petty than anything else, ultimately no one owes anyone to be with someone they don't want. And ultimately while most healthy long term relationships are based on more than just looks, anyone who says it's not a factor is lying. All else being equal being with someone who looks good is always better.

Not going to lie...Keto was amazing to lose weight but then you have a bunch of carbs again....you gain it all back. My question is...what if you go on a Keto diet to get down to 10%-12% BF...you are flattened out...muscle depleted of glycogen...but what if instead of eating 300g + carbs again...you just hover around 100-150g? Surely that's a more sustainable way of maintaining leanness?

When you really like a girl you want to make yourself look as attractive to that girl as possible, which usually entails a certain degree of physical attraction. When people finally get in that relationship and stay in it for long amount of time they get too comfortable and dont care about how they look because they already have the girl they were after. I agree that it is important to stay healthy physically in a relationship, but I dont think if you start to gain weight that you should just leave but rather hold each other accountable.

@@SunWukongX have you ever been in a loving relationship for over 5 years? looks get so irrelevant, since you cant be physically beautiful all day. you wake up in the morning looking like shit and you dont instantly feel pressured into looking great. i honestly dont even think about how my gf looks, just because i love her for who she is. and from time to time i look at her and i realize "oh she still looks great" and then i tell her she looks good and then im back into a stance of not thinking about her looks at all for the next week. and thats pretty much how you feel when youre in a long and healthy relationship. you feel like you can just be yourself and the other person for some reason likes you for who you are. such a restriction that youre not allowed to gain weight under any circumstances just makes a relationship not be one in the first place. hes not looking for love, hes looking for a cheap prostitute. and to your part "its fine to feel good in your skin but.." im probably sexually attractive to most of the women i met, just for the sake of being confident and good looking. nobody cares for a little overweight anyway, thats just very few fitness nazis but anyway, whats pissing me off about this topic are people (more like fitness nazis) who act like its about health. being super fit doest make you any more healthy, in fact it deters your health. youre the most healthy if you simply dont sit on your ass all day, but thats all you need to do, and of course have a healthy diet. doing sports 6 times a week is proven to not be any more healthy than once a week

Flexible is the key word for IT. It doesn't have to influence your family life, work, going out to eat. Problem is some people like convolaluted diets because they love to talk about what they ate, how often they piss on their keto stix, etc. Nothing fancy about eating all your foods in a 4,6,8hrs time frame and you forget about it.

I wouldn’t say I’m fat, but I wouldn’t be comfortable with my boyfriend expressing himself like your guest. Then I’d be stressing out right now, when I should focus on the baby. There are many reasons one can be fat that doesn’t mean you should brake up.

1:33. My Grandfather was one of the healthiest person I knew in my life. He was very active. Played tennis, softball, fished up and down rivers in his canoe. Grew his own vegetables. Then one day playing tennis at 64 he had a massive heart attach and died on the court. Death comes for you. Regardless how healthy you are. I agree it reduces so many complications and issues while getting old. Just eating and living healthy doesn't guarantee a long and happy life after you retire.

Calling someone fat is a surface-level insult that no stable person should be offended by. Insulting someone because of the way they look, whether it be body type, race, etc means that you don't know enough about a person to *really* hurt them and you're just blindly flailing, trying to touch a nerve. I get the feeling that the people who cry about "body-shaming" are as soft as their bellies.

I lost 60 lbs in about 4 months on Keto. I'm 6 ft, started at 255. Got below 200. Hit the gym. After a few days I just felt so weak lifting. I started introducing carbs back into my diet the nights before my morning workouts, and drinking some pre-workout in the morning prior and noticed my strength/endurance improve a lot. I would say for anyone not "pushing" their bodies, and that doesn't have some other preexisting issue regarding your bodies ability to handle fat, Keto is amazing. I felt great on it and full of energy for routine activity. I could even easily fast and skip meals if needed or wanted bc I was never feeling like I was starving. My body was using the fat reserves. Again tho, if you start doing any kind of activity that has high exertion, I feel the glucose comes in handy for sure.
