Just check out when he talks about AI, about trying to advise people of how dangerous and unprepared are we in matter of advanced AGI. There are books from technicians who said the same. Who are the ones in the race for the develop of AGI? Zuckerberg prove it wrong in their twitter discussion about AI? You think their using it to solve the crysis that we have in the world, for belic terms or personal financial reasons at once? Sometimes being realistic is just too close to being fatalistic. I’m not saying, just as he said that we won’t have a nice future, the thing is that the trancision when it gets launched mostly looks bad for almost everybody except, obviously the developers, and even they have a risk

lol we're gonna have to go interstellar just to run from our AI. I wish Joe would have talked more about interstellar travel. Because it's not gonna happen in straight lines. Not possible without the warp drive. Not without the teleportation device. Not without the wormhole maker. The obvious question I wanted Joe to ask: DO you think the laws of physics even permit the warp drive to be a reality? The second question I wanted Joe to ask: Do you think that the energy and transportation systems to make us interstellar have already been invented and are being kept secret? I appreciate what Elon is doing with straight lines: getting to mars the old fashioned way (in a straight line) with rocket propulsion, creating underground tunnels... Yes, yes, all great "straight line" type stuff. The best among humanity actually. But even light from the NEARBY stars is old af light before it reaches your eyes (sometimes thousands of years old), because even the speed of light is too slow in a straight line. Elon thinks and thinks and thinks about becoming interstellar, but what does he think about what it takes to make it a reality? That's all I wanted Joe to ask. And one more less serious question: what the hell is the atacama humanoid? bc it's definitely just a dead snapdragon flower, not evidence that we've got the warp drive in underground bases.

The interview itself is billion times more interesting than all the weed clickbait articles combined. Shortsightness at it's clearest.
@jazzerson70875 жыл бұрын
More than shortsighted, the media articles on this were a great example of how dishonest and twisted mass media has become in reporting, and papers which used to be respectable as well, even the Guardian. They made out Elon to have come on the show and acted like an inebriated, drugged up yob who hedonistically smoked his head off for two hours and it couldn't be further from the truth!! And the people who've not seen the podcast will naively believe that he again acted foolishly or wildly here and it's such BS, whether you like Elon or not!!
@robc60225 жыл бұрын
Agreed. They don't even smoke until nearly the end of the show. I was surprised that even these days, people still flip their wigs over adults using cannabis responsibly.
@jazzerson70875 жыл бұрын
Rob C Totally, the picture of Elon with the heavy cloud of smoke made it look like he was smoking heroin in some seedy drug den in Bogota or something! It's not often I get to witness something reported in the press first hand and I could not believe how they twisted this to suit their agenda. Makes you wonder what percentage of even serious news is reported accurately these days.
