Anyone else come back after listening to the latest JRE Adam Curry podcast? It’s scary different what the JRE has become! EDIT: The Ron White one wasn’t bad and felt better. This comment was a knee jerk reaction, though I’d still like to say a few things in addendum- 1.) In the Ron White podcast Joe mentions how the new Curry interview felt weird and didn’t sit right with him being in the new studio 2) Joe May have drank a lot and we know he becomes belligerent and loud when he’s drunk. We all have a drunk side that comes out when we have too much 3.) I’m thinking there’s a lot more happening behind the scenes we’re not aware of that may be contributing to some of Joes anxieties and insecurities- especially since this was filmed basically during his first week in Austin Finally: he didn’t have to give us an episode RIGHT after he moved but he did. Like he hasn’t even been in Texas for a full week yet and we’ve gotten 2 podcasts. That may be Spotify making demands but I’m not convinced. I think things are going to smooth back out.

Back in the early 1980s I lived in Western Colorado near Aspen, I worked construction during the warmer months and skied during the winter. Elk meat was at the center of my diet through those winters. The meat was supplied by roommate, who was an avid hunter and fellow skier. Shortly after the ski season ended the construction season would begin and the paychecks returned. At that point we could afford beef again. The interesting thing was that beef didn’t really taste that good after a winter of eating delicious elk meat.
