It's pretty clear Joe reads a lot, and obviously one mostly reads about topics that interest them. For example, Joe's main interests clearly aren't history, art or other humanist studies, so you can't expect the same amount of compelling conversation about - for example dance - than science etc. My interests include history, philosophy and other subjects that require "thinking and wondering" but I couldn't care less about sports, so I would either refuse a couple-hour conversation about football or sit there and try to think about something seemingly clever to say and look like an oblivious idot.
@Ludwig1625
@Ludwig1625 4 жыл бұрын
@@Mokomakinlurjus You can think and wonder about everything, that's not exclusive to certain subjects. I enjoy the arts, as well as history and philosophy as you said. I suppose the conversations you get with people that enjoy football probably aren't at all intriguing but there's lots to be found in everything.

I gotta say Ive been watching Joe on and off for a year maybe 2 and my initial feeling was ffs why does he keep steering the convo around to how he could snap this guy in two or choke someguy out in a second if he wanted to, and I only watched for his guests. But the more I see of Joe the smarter I think he is to the point now where I think he's a clever cat. Those Hancock convos you see him come out, he has a proper grasp of mentality perception understanding history humanity human nature future science the guys what we call in the UK clued up. And yes he also plays his IQ to the guest, in itself - smart. So long story short - thought he was a prick- realised maybe I was. Perception.

Absolutely. thats his gift, explaining concepts that the layman can understand. i went to see Michio Kaku a few years ago having read a couple of his books and felt the talk was directed at schoolchildren, he explained everything like he was talking to a bunch of school kids when in fact it was a hall full of adults who had most likely read his books, the best part of the night was when the audience got to ask questions. thats when the real in depth stuff got talked about. there were heaps of super smart people in the audience that were well educated and could grasp the concepts and got to the really indepth stuff and thats when it got interesting, if there had been no q&a from the audience it would have been boring as shit. Brian Cox has the gift of explaining stuff that we normals can understand without being treated like dumbos. He's by far the best at conveying these concepts in a way most people can grasp. And best of all you can tell he's completely absorbed ih his field, he clearly loves sharing his knowledge in a way normal folk can understand. seems to be devoid of ego, just full of wonder, I think he is fantastic,

So the teacher has to be the one to engage, that's what they should be paid to do.. Joe Rogan is is such a curious and insightful interviewer. When people say the people that Joe brings onto his shows are so intelligent, they forget the fact that only two highly intellectual beings can have such interestingly mind-boggling conversations. I mean I am astonished and awestruck by how many things he knows and his ability to ask the questions that he does. Thank you Joe for having the ability to extract such interesting conversations from anyone you interview, you truly are a genius!

There are a lot of things I don't agree with Joe's views. But my interest isn't about him, my interest are about the conversations. In most of his videos he brings out some legit questions and I like how he actually listens and interact with the conversations. He doesn't cloud or blurs out the answers from his guests. So, I like listening to most of his podcasts. Others don't catch my fancy, but a lot of times he does bring in some interesting guest.

Best way i think about "million" "billion" and "trillion" is as follows: a Million takes 12 days to count to. A billion takes 32 years to count to and a trillion takes 32,000 years to count to. (The exact values have all been rounded up or down). This just shows the extreme differences between the numbers.

In the 1980s and early 1990s, Cox was a keyboard player with the rock band Dare.[18] Dare released two albums with Cox - Out of the Silence in 1988 and Blood from Stone in 1991. He subsequently joined dance act D:Ream,[19] a group that had several hits in the UK charts, including the number one "Things Can Only Get Better",[20] later used as a New Labour election anthem

The difference in approach between Cox and Neil deGrasse Tyson is stark. NDT is so bombastic and tries to convey the awesomeness of these concepts through his delivery, whereas Brian just calmly explains our understanding of the universe and let’s the reality speak for itself.

I'm not a scientist but I think what he's saying is if you used a laser, and pointed it over the horizon you would see the Earth curvature, while when it's used in space, there is none.... If I remember correctly they used a couple of lasers, and pointed them in such a way as to make a < shape. There was no measurable curve that you would expect in a sphere shaped expanding universe.
@jamesmorseman3180
@jamesmorseman3180 4 жыл бұрын
@@RickySpanish12344 easier to think of it as that on the largest scales, parallel lines will stay parallel forever, and the angels of a triangle add up to 180 degrees. Neither of those would be true in a universe with positive or negative curvature. He doesn't mean flat as in the universe is 2D (which it might be btw check out the holographic principle) he just means that geometry is the same as it would be on a 2D surface which is the whole parallel lines and triangle thing.
